There isn't anything that this hotel hasn't thought of providinig to the guests. The rooms are cleaned every day, every inch of the hotel is perfect and spotless. There is a library, a piano, a pool table for those looking for some entertainment and there are jacuzzi, saunas and steam bath for those in need of relaxation, which are also the cleanest I have been to. The breakfast is great, all varieties of food for everyone's needs. The rooms are very spacious and stylish. All in all, the most perfect place for you and your friends or family to stay when you want to see the gorgeous city of Split. I recommend them wholeheartedly and I will definitely go back. Thank you Dioklecijan's hotel &residence. It has been a real pleasure staying with you!

Giving high school students direct, hands-on exposure to the hospitality industry is simply amazing. Your operation isn't just delivering great customer service—which is mandatory to compete these days—you created lasting memories for Cindi and me.
Between the birthday toast and the 30th-wedding-anniversary room welcome, you went above and beyond.

Split is centered around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and featuring limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.

Loved it! Some lovely beaches and water temperature of the sea was perfect …you don’t need a pool at the accommodation unless you are averse to the sea. The old town was beautiful with lots to explore.

I stayed for 4 days, one less would have been more than adequate. After you see the old city, Diocletian Palace ,walk around the walls etc , visit the markets, take the hop on hop off bus with a guided tour ( the guided tour of the old city was the best best bit),took the 8 hour boat trip with lunch provided on board to the three islands, that was great and very professionally done. Visited the Marjan the big park over looking city and harbor, great view and setting.
What disappointed me re Split, all tours primarily the boat ones seemed be promoting bbq, swimming and drinks, and party party type situations. I was not interest in boozing I can do that in my own country, I came to see Split and what it offered as a tourist destination. Left somewhat a little disappointed after visiting Athens and Istanbul. I was so looking forward to visiting Split from what I had heard in the past unfortunately a great anti climax.
On the plus side it's not all negative Split has great scenery re the rocky hills and ocean views absolutely stunning setting in my view. The harbour, boating marina, are amazing.

Availability of blue line parking.
Don't like - city uses huge garbage collectors everywere on the street. By the evening, on a hot day, they stink.
The walk to the old town from Zone 2 and 3 is short but dangerous. You have to cross the street multiple times just to find a pedestrian parkway.

I loved Split and will definitely be back!
I loved Split and will definitely be back! The place was beautiful and we had good weather. The market was fun to look around and the palace and GOT tour was great. We learned more about the history and the football (soccer) team and the culture. We did a boat tour to the Blue Lagoon and Blue Cave and it was SO much fun!! It was an amazing experience! I will definitely be back!

Very pretty place! In the old streets of Split, some 5 minutes walk to the city centre or to the sea. Good restaurants in the area and generally quiet and atmospheric. The place feels cozy and very authentic, gives an opportunity to stay in a real Croatian house. Bathroom is fine and the kitchen is well-equipped, I had my own fridge. The room is beautiful, with some nice decorations. And the lady managing the place is kind and gave me some good advice for Split!)

Amazing apartment with everything you need. Full kitchen and laundry made such a difference on our 7 week holiday. Perfect for when you need a reset and feel like cooking for yourself at home. The host was also the best, did not meet her in person but she kept in touch over WhatsApp our entire stay and helped us a lot. Location is about 10-15 min walk to the old town/city centre.
