Lovely city, felt safe all the time we were there. Some stunning buildings. Public transport is fab and easy to use - it's also free if 65+. We took walking tours on both sides of the river which allowed us to get our bearings. Loads of good eating places, just avoid the tourist traps - only one we fell for was the New York cafe which, whilst very pretty inside, is over priced for indifferent food and service.

It's a beautiful city.
It's a beautiful city. Obviously there are three cities you have to visit . The transport is very simple and comfortable to use. Metro is a little bit confusing you have to find the right direction enter on the right side of the street before going down, each direction has its own entry on the different side of the street. The transport card for 1 or 3 days is very useful. The Buda Castle Hill, the Gellert Hill, the Central Pest, the Heroes Square and Szechenyi baths. Don't forget your swimsuit to soak in one of the famous termal baths. The hungarian cuisine try Langosh(it looks like a pizza kind, but it's much moooore delicious). Gulash never fail. Enjoy the famous hungarian desserts

Budapest was lovely.
Budapest was lovely. We went for 3 nights but honestly I could have spent a week here as there was so much to see. We did tours of the Hungarian Opera House, Parliament, and unlimited Prosecco river cruise which was lovely. We also saw St Stephen's Basilica, Synagogue, New York Cafe, Cafe Gerbeaud and did a day trip to Szentendre which was very pleasant. We missed out on seeing Margaret Island, Fisherman's Bastion,, Budapest Castle Museum of Applied Art and Heroes Square. We did a hop on/off bus tour to get our bearings as well. Transport links were excellent. Please allow enough time to see all that you want.

A local map in the apartment might have been helpful as we didn't always have access to data/wifi and/or our phones died when using so much google maps.
The architectural details were amazing. So much history in the city. It was nice to see the Jewish quarter being rejuvinized, respecting the history of what happened.

I like that Budapest has a variety of landmarks and shopping opportunities. I was there 3 days which gave me just enough time to wander the streets and see most of the important landmarks Budapest has to offer. Its a little pricey i must add, however if you wonder more into outskirts of the main streets you may find cheaper alternatives. Budapest has a lot to offer to people who enjoy grand architecture. The streets are very clean alongside great and calm drivers, that will stop all the time when you try to cross the road, almost as if it is a must for them even when you are a couple of meter away from the crossing. People are very nice and welcoming. The streets are very safe even at night, however i might add to be careful of pickpockets even though i have not encountered them nor have seen a single one.

The public transport is excellent allowing me to tour all parts of the city and beyond with trains. I liked the local food generous portions at the Malls. The city is walkable with hidden gems everywhere. City, park and canal side walks and hiking trails towards to castle ruins. A bonus the weather held out.

This is definitely the BEST accommodation in Budapest. So modern, so clean, so comfortable, really big rooms with massive windows and even the bathroom was really nice and had everything that one needs. It is in the city centre, shops, restaurants and cafeterias are all around you. The staff are really kind, helpful and amazing. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to Budapest. Thank you DAMAS SUITES for making our stay in Budapest so memorable and lovely.

The hotel is very welcoming. All staff are very friendly and happy to help. We booked a premier room with breakfast. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had great choice. I would highly recommend this hotel.
