Very nice hotel, great playroom for small children, and in general very childfriendly. Also great location, and very rich breakfast and dinner. I really recommend this hotel for families and I hope we will back during summer to try the outside pool too.

This is an elegant hotel from a bygone era, but the facilities and the service are everything you would expect from a modern hotel. My room was large and beautifully furnished, the delicious buffet breakfast is served in a banquet room with fancy furniture and crystal chandeliers. All of that, and the price I paid for the room was so reasonable! I kept sending pictures to my friends and family saying, "Can you believe I'm getting ALL THIS for THIS MUCH money?

Sopron is a hidden gem, at least to us. It is very walkable, has great and easily documented history in Hungarian, English and German. We fell in love with Sopron and can only recommend it to be included on your next trip and make sure you add a few days to explore the city and surrounding.

One of the most atmospheric and picturesque towns I have...

One of the most atmospheric and picturesque towns I have visited. Wandering the centuries -old cobblestoned streets and admiring the architecture of the medieval buildings gave enormous pleasure. My camera was on the go al the time. Climb the fire tower for wonderful views! Great wine shop for tasting and nibbles. Medieval synagogue worth visiting too.

The city of Sopron is located on the Austrian border, near Lake Fertő. Sopron is known for its colorful houses, rich in historic buildings, cobbled streets, museums and galleries. The Old Town is a lovely pedestrian zone, small enough to be discovered by foot. The most iconic landmark for the city of Sopron is the city’s Fire Tower. One of the most fabulous buildings is the Storno House. There are many great restaurants in Sopron, worth a visit if you're in the area!

One of the best cities in Hungary, beautiful, great surroundings. Excellent restaurants. We came to make cycling trips in the surroundings like Ferto-to and Sopron mtns. and it was great. Recommended.

Most museums were closed and so we had very few options to...

Most museums were closed and so we had very few options to do. Most shops were also closed. We still enjoyed checking out the historical architecture... the old town was really sweet, lots to admire. Roman remains, Renaissance buildings, Fire Tower, good coffee and good food :)
