PolandWe only stayed for one night, but felt truly welcomed. The staff were super friendly, spoke English, and were very patient with our attempts at Hungarian - even when we totally butchered a few phrases we’d picked up! :P

Szombathely is quite nice and interesting in the center.
Szombathely is quite nice and interesting in the center. The city emphasizes its Roman roots, which is unique in Hungary, and does so attractively. Outside the center, there is a lot of communist-era architecture, which can also be fascinating, provided the buildings are in good condition. The city feels relatively safe, and the police were visible immediately when needed. Overall cleanliness is okay, although it is rather a provincial town, so some areas are more well-kept than others. Overall, it is well worth a short visit.

It is a nice town.
It is a nice town. We are planning on going back for the festival. There are other things to see. The Izsum was very interesting along with the museum falu. There are some nice paths to walk along the stream that runs through town. There are some long bike paths available. It is big enough to spend a long weekend but small enough to walk about everywhere. It is easy to get there by train.

4-5 days was sufficient. We used the city as a base to travel to Sopron (train travel is free for pensioners). In the city there were places to visit showing the history of the town and a lovely lake about 30 minutes (walk) to the northwest of the city centre.

The hotel was on our cycling route, in the city centre, but in a quiet area, we just continued our journey in the morning. They also offered us a bike storage room.
The breakfast was plentiful and varied. There was tea, coffee, juice, as much as you wanted. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I recommend.

Perfect place for an overnight stay during a trip to Croatia. The bunk beds were comfortable, and equipping them with separate TVs was a brilliant idea — our children were delighted :) Receptionists were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely choose this hotel for our next trip!

The flat is located in the center of Szombathely in an old house but completely refurbished. The owner was very friendly. Parking was not a problem. Everything was excelent. Worth for money.
