During my stay from 14 - 17 June 2025 I was busy with my all friends and was entertain for breakfast every morning in various Chinese restaurants. I didn't take any breakfast in the hotel during my stay but was surprised to see billing for breakfast and other charges. I believe this is a system problem, under normal condition when checking out all signed bills is collated with signed slips for final bill. This problem is still outstanding, and my deposit was still on hold.

Staff were nice and welcoming. Breakfast was good, lots of different kinds of food and drinks. It is attached to the PIK Avenue Mall, makes it very convenient. Easy access to lots of restaurants and places to see/ shop.

Indonesia’s World City

Indonesia’s capital, sprawling Jakarta has hurtled into the 21st-century at a startling rate. Rapidly expanding, it is an eclectic mix of cultures with an electric clubbing scene including the EX at Plaza Indonesia mall and those near Blok M mall, popular with expats. Jakarta shopping is great, with modern malls all over, interspersed with traditional markets, some underground.

Thousands of Jakarta restaurants and cheap street food provide tourists with tons of choices. Little Japan is best for sushi (and karaoke), while colorful Chinatown has fantastic dim sum. Buzzing around all are bajaj, Indonesia’s equivalent of tuk-tuks.

The main Jakarta sights include Monas National Monument in green Merdeka square. Spectacularly lit at night, it has a deck with fantastic city views. Opposite is the presidential palace, patrolled by the national guard. The oldest part is Batavia – the city’s Dutch Colonial name – and is home to the Jakarta History Museum.

Away from the bustle is Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, a suburban park celebrating Indonesia’s rich culture through museums, dance and film, centered around a large lake with Indonesia-shaped islands. Ancol Dream Park also features waterparks, beaches and amusement rides.

Traffic can be manic, so leave time after checking out of your Booking.com accommodation in Jakarta to get to Soekarno Hatta or Halim Perdanakusuma Airport.

    Jakarta has advanced a lot over the years.

    Jakarta has advanced a lot over the years. I really enjoyed the public transport. MRT and Woosh High speed train were great. Cove jogging track at PIK was nice. The area around Sudriman is great also. Always enjoyed coming to Jakarta.

    The people are nice. Hotel staff are very accomodating.if your are planning for a long stay you need to have Ang internet not only at the hotel to have easy access in finding location for places you wanted to go for a visit.

    I did not have any idea how Jakarta will look like and what...

    I did not have any idea how Jakarta will look like and what I discovered surprised me in a good way. It’s an interesting city. It blends some colonial Dutch architecture which is stunning at times, with modern skyscrapers. There some dirty places as well as clean, but that’s like in every city. Traffic can be very heavy and crossing the street may become a challenge but that’s just a part of a charm. People are usually friendly and I personally did not feel like I’m in danger.

    Great location to start your holiday.

    Great location to start your holiday. My first visit to Indonesia and got a good welcome. People are so nice, always help you if they can. Felt really safe travelling alone in the city. Walked everywhere day and at night , however as anywhere always need to stay safe . I’m not a city person however I loved my visit here .

    I changed my hotel 3 times and I'm glad I did, this hotel is good value for money, the facilities are excellent, in fact so good that the Pope stayed there on his visit to Indonesia, I did see him in reception when I went down to breakfast. The food was good, the staff were excellent, the location was great, close to the centre of Jakarta, a 20 minute walk into the city centre. this would be my first choice of hotel if I decided to visit Jakarta again.

    Good for a short stay of 2-3 days. The hotel is located in a cul-de-sac, making it quiet yet well-situated (about 30 minutes by car from Soekarno Airport and around 15 minutes from the Grand Indonesia Mall). The rooftop bar is lovely, with a great view, good drinks, and tasty food.
