Staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked about locations about tourist spots. Also room appeared clean. The place was quiet but the stay was during the weekday so not sure if it's still the same on weekends. It was within a minute walk to Dublin Castle (basically in front) and very close (within 10 mins) to Book of Kells Trinity College. It's a very good area as well for restaurants/bars and transportation.

FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery & Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green spaces of any European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College houses the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

As one of the youngest European cities, Dublin has vibrant nightlife with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish vacation, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, an independent apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

We enjoyed a gig at the 3 arena and had a nice meal before the gig at the Samuel where we were staying. Pre gig drinks were at The Bottle Boy beside the 3 arena. Great atomsphere and pleasant crowd. Parked up in convention centre for our stay.Went into Grafton Street next morning on Luas for most of journey and then a short walk in lovely autumn sunshine. Visited Trinity College on way back.Plenty of coffee shops and shopping options. Headed back to Liffey Valley as we were heading back West, some good purchases and picked up some luxurious food treats in M&S. All in all a shorty but very enjoyable 48hrs.

A funny tidbit, the bus routes are not on any maps, impossible to know what bus connects with which one : the reason : there are too many and they are numerous. Luas-trams are on maps and so is the Dart-train. One of the friendliest cities I have ever visited (the ones in Newfoundland related, even the accent is similar)

Dublin is a multi cultural city. Plenty to see and do. Dublin 1 has lost the treasure of being Irish though. Too commercialised. But, please visit, some places you can still get the feeling/ vibe of a beautiful city, wonderful locals but always take a brolly. Maggie May's and Cassidy's bar do a truly fantastic breakfast. The titanic experience is worth visiting. The hardship of the story is really felt in your heart

I was in a ground floor double room close to the action, everywhere in Dublin that weekend was very pricey - there was a 'Bon-Jovi pop concert happening which explained the high prices for accomodation on the last summer holiday weekend. Get yourself a green 'Leapfrog' travel card, it covers the buses and trams, available at most newsagents, Dublin is a great city to visit any time of year - so much to do, a real 'buzz about it.

Dublin is lovely: quite safe, beautiful brownstone buildings, flowers everywhere, green lush parks, doesn't get unbearably hot in summer, it has a beautiful oceanfront as well and the Irish are just about the most wonderful, friendliest people on Earth. It is sadly expensive.

Staff were great, Sorcha on the main reception desk was a breath of fresh air (10/10). Location is perfect for easy access to everything in Dublin city centre. We booked a "Roomy" room with a large double bed. The bed was great, big and good mattress (which is not always the case in city centre hotels). Room was very clean and staff looked after it when requested.
