Everything about this hotel spoke "quality". Reception welcome, friendly staff, attention to detail in the room, luxurious touches such as body lotion, conditioner, biscuits, robes and slippers... modern light and curtain and heating and door indications controls. Food was excellent. Gym and spa small but comfortable and great for city centre location.

I would encourage people to cycle in Phoenix Park and visit St Anne's Park and the coastal walk at Clontarf. The DART will take you to Skerries and Howth both beautiful and interesting. Get a LEAP card for ease of travel. The ferry from Holyhead and seeing Anglesey is also a good route to Dublin.

We stayed for 3 days and at least one more day would have been great. It is a very nice and modern city, with a lot to see. We took a tour of the Trinity College, was worth it ( student guided ), some books from the Long room are being removed to be saved and digitalized. Temple bar area is great and actually pretty safe. Also Christ Church, St. Patrick Cathedral really worth visiting. Castle was closed at the time

It's not very easy to navigate as there are no street signs on the corners in town. The roads are very narrow, it can be very confusing getting around. My Son and I rented a car and he had a difficult time with the roads and how fast people drove. Pedestrians don't pay any attention to the walk/don't walk signals so they're always crossing when you're supposed to go.

Loved Dublin, a busy, vibrant City.

Loved Dublin, a busy, vibrant City. Very easy to 'tour' on the City Sightseeing, Hop on, Hop off type buses. The longest you wait is 20 minutes and you see all the major sites and can get on and off anywhere the 31 bus stops are. Did this with a 48 hour ticket ( Well worth the money - we started at 11am on the Wednesday and finished at 12 noon on the Friday - a real bargain). Highly recommend to everyone is you want to see the lovely sights of Dublin.

Wonderful trip, nine travelers who all enjoyed the city, food and attractions. Public transportation amazing, we took train, Dart and Bus and it was easy enough and we all felt safe. One problem with taxi from RIU hotel, we ordered three taxied to take us to Dublin AirPort, two of the taxi trips with four passengers in each were 30Euro. My taxi from same location to airport with two passengers cost 50 Euros. This trip was manned by Dublin Taxi driver who told us he used to be in banking. To him I say "I am Irish travelling with my American Family, I knew you overcharged me but rather than cause an issue in front of my family I choose to let it go. I am disappointed though"

We spent two nights in Dublin at the start of our trip and one night in Malahaide outside the city closer to the airpoirt, at the end of our trip. We barely scratched the surface of this fascinating city and would love to go back. For this particualr trip, to see the west coast, two nights was perfect - we got a little city flvaor and fun before heading out in the car to explore other parts of Ireland.
