Everything about this hotel spoke "quality". Reception welcome, friendly staff, attention to detail in the room, luxurious touches such as body lotion, conditioner, biscuits, robes and slippers... modern light and curtain and heating and door indications controls. Food was excellent. Gym and spa small but comfortable and great for city centre location.

I read a lot of posts that said you only need a day or two in Dublin, but that was not our experience. It was easier for us to stay in one city and take day trips to Knowth and Belfast. We did a combination of pre-booked activities and spur-of-the-moment outings. We were not ready to leave and could have stayed another week or two.

Great city in a great country.

Great city in a great country. Safe, beautiful, cheerful, live, great hospitality, helpful and happy people. Need to account for the afterparty mess, though (unclean, dirty floors, noise), but still worth the visit. Tourist tours are completely worthwile. Reserve much much ahead of time when visiting, since rooms book quickly and space are pricey vs. rest of Europe.

I have always wanted to visit Dublin and had a romantic view of the city, it wasn't what I expected. It is very modern. What I liked is that it was easy to get around, and was very clean. We went on a bus and we couldn't believe how cheap it was, but you need to have cash. We visited the museums and the Guinness Storehouse it is worth paying for the experience. Thought it would be about 45 minutes we stayed for about three hours. We had a fantastic time.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, right in the city centre just at the back of the Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. It wouldn't be noisy at night time. The hotel design has a modern, funky vibe. I was at a conference in Dublin with an evening dinner so needed somewhere to go to in between the events and to crash that night. The Marlin was significantly cheaper than other hotels around.
