Surprisingly easy to find accommodation with the aid of google maps, roads were driveable. Corofin town had the shop and pub we were looking for. I noticed very few if no electric charger stations. Caherconnell fort and sheepdog expo was well worth the e12 visit.

At the risk of being biased, with many family ties in the area, Ennis is a great place to visit for a week. Truly overwhelming choice of bars and restaurants, but always have favoured the Old Ground Hotel and O'Dea's bar. Lucas's also recommended. Any small town that has 3/4 bookshops always gets my vote. Close to the coast for the beach and plenty of attractions, castles, abandoned churches, etc to get a sense of the local history.

The town is small and easy to navigate.

The town is small and easy to navigate. I arrived a day before my friends and felt safe wandering the city finding the points of interest. I stayed at the Old Ground Hotel which is a lovely, old inn in the heart of town. Their pub is delightful and I enjoyed a light dinner and a pint at the bar. I also had the best scone across the street at The Well, a wonderful bakery and lunch shop. When my friends arrived, we enjoyed a pint at the Knox Pub and watched the end of a hurling match. It is a mad, crazy game and everyone should see one! The Pub also has great live Irish music.

I stayed in a bungalow next to the River Fergus, which was a very peaceful and relaxing setting. The accommodation was spotless, well laid out, and suited my needs perfectly. It was a much preferred location to a hotel, as I could hear birds singing and even saw a heron fly past my window, heading up river. Beats the noise of traffic any day! The double bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. I cannot fault this property and will not hesitate to re-book the next time I stay in Ennis.

I love the Old ground hotel and the character of the building. It is in a very centra location and was very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful, especially Lydia. I really appreciated Lydia assisting me with my luggage and showing me to my room, even though it was extremely busy time of the day the staff were exceptional and professional. I couldn't praise Lydia enough for kindness and professionalism.

Great location, just beside the centre of Ennis. If you are working the hotel has several seating areas you can base yourself so you don't have to work from your room.
