- St Brigid’s Cathedral and the grounds around the cathedral including the Round Tower.
- St Brigid’s Parish Church
- St Brigid’s Well - was a very moving experience
- Kildare Heritage Centre and Tourism Information Centre - staff were really lovely and very helpful.
- Irish National Stud and Gardens - it was very interesting and very enjoyable listening to the guide.

we visited the silver works in newbridge and bought a few...
we visited the silver works in newbridge and bought a few items the restaurant there has a delicious selection of meals and cakes we had our own car but you can get around by buss and the train into Dublin the Japanese gardens ar near by as is the Kildare outlet shopping area all worth a visit

Never stay there again was threatened to take a review down i had made 2 days prior, 3am getting threatening messages from the host in Kildare Luxury Suits who i had never met,accused me of leaving "white powder" on her table, I asked for the picture, but didn't receive any, accused of smoking weed in the room ,called a druggie to, all these accusations from someone that hadn't even seen me. Never been treated like that anywhere I have stayed before. Disgraceful.

The Silken Thomas, besides helping us with some difficulties...
The Silken Thomas, besides helping us with some difficulties, is a great place to eat, followed by Harte's.
A MUST VISIT is The National Stud & Japanese Garden. You don't need to be big into horses or gardens to enjoy either.
We had a great Welsh Male Voice Choir Concert in The Cathedral on the Saturday night of our stay.

Started our day off in Kildare Shopping Village - we did get some great deals however some of the shops had limited items
Stopped at Tree House Sauna, amazing value fro money ad the views from the sauna were breathtaking!
Stayed in the Silken Thomas, great value for money, amazing foo & lovely staff!

quiet well appointed cheerful spotlessly clean with every accoutrement you cd wish for, close to everything, easy parking, super friendly welcome supplies, grand shower with lovely warmth snd pressur, gorgeously fresh bright bed linen …seriously youd be working hard to find any fault here… a bonus is spirited bird chat at various times of day which i reckon is a further sign of a terrific location.

The room was AMAZING! We stayed one night and the morning we left I was already looking at booking the hotel again! There is a shop and cafe attached where you get a 10% discount because you are staying at the firecastle. You also get a discount at there partner restaurant and a VIP discount at kildare village! The water was always hot and we had access to Netflix on the TV. One of my top favourite hotels to stay in! We will be back.

Loved that it was somewhat isolated, peaceful, quiet & yet within easy access to Kildare Village (less than 10 mins), walks, trails etc. Great to see sheep, chickens & cattle roam so close to accomodation. Amazing! James was fantastic host, even received some free range eggs for breakfast. Loved it

Great location for Kildare Village shopping, wonderful little house, excellent communication with Ros. Fabulous home from home, with all you need. Lovely complementary breakfast items and treats. The cosiest bedding! Wish we could have stayed longer.
