we visited the silver works in newbridge and bought a few items the restaurant there has a delicious selection of meals and cakes we had our own car but you can get around by buss and the train into Dublin the Japanese gardens ar near by as is the Kildare outlet shopping area all worth a visit

Never stay there again was threatened to take a review down i had made 2 days prior, 3am getting threatening messages from the host in Kildare Luxury Suits who i had never met,accused me of leaving "white powder" on her table, I asked for the picture, but didn't receive any, accused of smoking weed in the room ,called a druggie to, all these accusations from someone that hadn't even seen me. Never been treated like that anywhere I have stayed before. Disgraceful.

The Silken Thomas, besides helping us with some difficulties...

The Silken Thomas, besides helping us with some difficulties, is a great place to eat, followed by Harte's. A MUST VISIT is The National Stud & Japanese Garden. You don't need to be big into horses or gardens to enjoy either. We had a great Welsh Male Voice Choir Concert in The Cathedral on the Saturday night of our stay.

Started our day off in Kildare Shopping Village - we did get some great deals however some of the shops had limited items Stopped at Tree House Sauna, amazing value fro money ad the views from the sauna were breathtaking! Stayed in the Silken Thomas, great value for money, amazing foo & lovely staff!

quiet well appointed cheerful spotlessly clean with every accoutrement you cd wish for, close to everything, easy parking, super friendly welcome supplies, grand shower with lovely warmth snd pressur, gorgeously fresh bright bed linen …seriously youd be working hard to find any fault here… a bonus is spirited bird chat at various times of day which i reckon is a further sign of a terrific location.

We were attending a concert in Dublin but did not want to...

We were attending a concert in Dublin but did not want to pay Dublin hotel prices so Kildare and the Kildare House Hotel was perfect. We got the Green Bus from Kildare Village into the city center. The Kildare village Outlet was great for shopping the following morning.

What a lovely surprise when we walked into this room, was just beautiful. No breakfast included but hotel across the road did a great breakfast and plenty of other options in the the town. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We spent the day in the Irish National Stud and Gardens - a very enjoyable and educational afternoon. Had a lot of fun in the Irish Racecourse Experience, was not expecting the race at the end and to win! Plenty of good bars in Kildare and everyone so welcoming.

Nice, quiet rural location just a short 5‑minute drive from Kildare Village and around 10–15 minutes to the nearest supermarket. James, the host, welcomed us within minutes of arriving, showed us around the apartment, and kindly provided farm‑fresh eggs and toiletries. The apartment was spotless, very comfortable, and extremely well equipped with all the amenities we needed for our stay. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area

We recently stayed at the Silken Thomas in Kildare Town and had a great experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the check-in was smooth, and the room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Kildare with free parking and easy access to local attractions. The food was another highlight, with a great choice at both dinner and breakfast. We have stayed here a few times and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Loved that it was somewhat isolated, peaceful, quiet & yet within easy access to Kildare Village (less than 10 mins), walks, trails etc. Great to see sheep, chickens & cattle roam so close to accomodation. Amazing! James was fantastic host, even received some free range eggs for breakfast. Loved it

The hotel is so central to kildare village. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. We couldn't get a taxi into kildare village Sunday and it was raining so heavy but the owner kindly offered to drop us in. Will definitely be back again
