Great hotel, very well located, close to everything. Parking can be a problem. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is very welcoming, professional and courteous.
Spectacularly located on the waterfront in the historic town of Kinsale. The hotel is privately owned with a friendly, yet professional atmosphere.

It’s difficult to remember everything we liked about the property. The list is endless. The view was spectacular, the large sitting area was excellent, USB charging ports, Nescafé coffee maker, tea kettle, refrigerator, lighted bookshelves, huge bathroom/bath/shower. Speaking of showers, the water pressure was outstanding! Some hotels have weak pressure but not The Trident. We had the Sovereign Suite and there is no going back ever to a normal room. There was a large outside patio with seating to look out over the water. It didn’t hurt that the weather was spectacularly warm at around 65F each day. When we return to Kinsale, we will always book this suite now. There are several restaurants to choose from in-house too but close to others and the legendary Fishy Fishy restaurant five minutes walk away. Free parking as well and always available. Loved it!
Kinsale Hotel & Spa is set in 90 acres of woodland and has views of Oysterhaven Bay. It offers an indoor swimming pool, a spa, a restaurant, free parking, and free high speed Wi-Fi throughout.

Kinsale is a town with a lot of important history.
Kinsale is a town with a lot of important history. But it's a town that was not designed for cars and yet cars dominate with limited sidewalks. So it's difficult for those who love to walk. Favorite spot was the Cozy Cafe.

Kinsale is a fantastic spot for a romantic getaway.
Kinsale is a fantastic spot for a romantic getaway. Very close to Cork and its airport, great bars and restaurants (we always go to the Jim Edwards for consistently delicious meals and friendly staff). We always meet lovely people to chat to and have a lovely night. We will be back again and recommend it highly as a destination.

Beautiful place with an interesting history.
Beautiful place with an interesting history. We did a walking tour with Dermot which was well worthwhile as were visits to the forts and Lusitania museum. Many interesting little shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. Could have happily stayed a few days longer.

Loved our two days in Kinsale.
Loved our two days in Kinsale. A lovely small picturesque town with a great atmosphere. Great food and drink. Will miss the shared enjoyment of people fishing and being successful opposite the tourist information office.

It's a cozy little town with shopping and restaurants clustered around a town center. We were there for two days, although we were mostly out and about at castles, etc. We enjoyed the variety of places to eat and had fun going from shop to shop.

Property was very well kept, had great character and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful on arrival, taking time to talk through the best things to do and places to visit / eat at while in Kinsale. The room was perfectly adequate for a weekend stay, clean and had good facilities. Room was reasonably priced for what it was, and when compared with some of the larger hotels was excellent value for money.
Beautiful harbour view from hotel bedroom. The Bedrooom was spacious and clean with very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast offering with equally prompt staff service. Staff service for all areas of the hotel was top class. Overall, a very impressive stay and I'll be back !
Right from arriving the receptionist was so nice and then everything met our expectations. The food was delicious but WOW what a breakfast. The head waiter was a gentleman. We will definitely stay there again and recommend the hotel to everyone. It's in the best spot in town.
Banter at front desk on arrival with "dumb and dumber" 🤣 hotel itself was very nice and relaxing and comfortable. The spa was lovely too. And the staff in general were exceptional making us feel welcome throughout our stay in particular the nice touches for Jane's birthday
The owner and staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and bright. I liked the character of this older hotel, and the fact that it still had all the modern amenities.
