United StatesHomey and welcoming. We stayed over Christmas and Joe even set up a small Christmas tree for us. We stayed for about a month and really felt like we built a community while we were there. Joe was out of town during our, but we FaceTimed with him when we ran into his cousin. We had to leave early, and Joe is working with us to secure the remainder of our paid accommodation another time. I could not have more good things to say about the home, Joe, or Oldcastle. 10/10 would recommend! Glowing reviews, Joe! Thanks so much!

Though I don't live too far away, I had never been to...
Though I don't live too far away, I had never been to Oldcastle before. It is a quiet little place but VERY friendly. We were there for an EVENT...the AMAZING Moylagh JFK 50 Mile walking challenge which introduced me to a beautiful landscape and some very generous people. I am also interested in the town's association with St. Oliver Plunkett and the Cairns etc at Loughcrew ....our stay was too short to visit them on this occasion but I hope to visit them sometime soon.

We were just staying to visit my husband’s family who live...
We were just staying to visit my husband’s family who live nearby. Not much happening in Oldcastle at the time of year we were visiting, but the weather was good and we had a lovely walk up to Lough Crew which is just a few minutes away by car and the view from up there is spectacular on a fine day.

This is a fabulous huge house and Patrick is a wonderful and friendly host. You are close to Oldcastle and it’s amenities but tucked away so have your privacy.
It’s is exceptionally well equipped and has everything you will ever need for a comfortable holiday. It’s great that each bedroom has its own bathroom. Lots of information provided also for things to see and do in the area and further afield.
All our group loved our stay and would highly recommend Glenboy country accomodation.

Sinead was an amazing host, she welcomed us with open arms and even put on the kettle for a cup of tea when we arrived which marked a nice way to end a long journey from the west coast of Ireland. Breakfast in the morning was amazing and them Scones were Delicious would definitely be back for more.
Location was perfect and having the yard animals around you felt like you were on a little retreat, and a B and B like that will always beat a Hotel stay.

Fabulous location, beautiful walks around the Loughcrew estate and gardens. We comfortably slept 4 families in this beautiful unique historic property. It’s very hard to find large properties that will host a number of families so we were delighted when we found this one. Works out at excellent value when you compare to a hotel stay.

Such personal touches too from fresh bread and milk being left for us.
