CanadaFirst of all, we were welcomed by two of the most wonderful hosts. They were both stellar. Very warm and helpful, kind and full of wonderful stories. You felt at home while also maintaining your privacy. The bed was very comfortable and allowed us to recover amply from our jet lag we carried. After Glendalough, the following day we went to Mount Usher gardens upon the recommendation of Matt, our host and absolutely loved it with its outstanding arboretum.
We hope to return one day and highly recommend !

Upon arrival, the host was unavailable and could not be contacted directly. We were forced to make several phone calls to different numbers in an attempt to obtain access to the property. Eventually, at approximately 17:15, we received an email containing the code for the key box.
Upon entering the accommodation, we found it to be in an appalling condition and wholly unsuitable for human habitation. In particular:
There were spiders, spider webs, and evidence of spiders nesting in the bed.
There was faecal matter, or what appeared to be faecal matter, smeared across one of the walls.
The mattress was extremely dirty, stained, and unhygienic.
The toilets and bathrooms were in an unacceptable and unsanitary condition.
The property generally appeared not to have been cleaned or properly prepared for guests prior to our arrival.
Given the condition of the accommodation, we considered it neither safe nor hygienic to stay there. As a result, we were forced to secure alternative accommodation at a nearby hotel, incurring significant additional and unexpected expense.
We immediately raised these concerns with the host; however, our complaints have been dismissed, and the host has refused to provide a refund despite the accommodation clearly failing to meet basic standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and habitability.

Wicklow has a lot to offer.
Wicklow has a lot to offer. In my experience, the Wicklow Gap was great for a hike, Glendalough has fascinating ancient ruins, and Brittas Bay is perfect for a swim or a walk. Bray is such a lovely town, with a beautiful seaside promenade.

We stayed at the Bridge Tavern which is in a good location to explore the town and the harbour, and also has a very good restaurant.
St Patrick's Church is worth a visit, as is the Historic Gaol and the harbour area

Wicklow and Arklow were beautiful with plenty of shopping i bought some books from the bookstore which was well stocked I would recommend the Bridge Tavern to stay nice walks around the town and harbour in Wicklow only downside was lack of free parking

Wicklow is a historic town and still an operating harbour, in the vicinity of the Wicklow mountains. There's plenty of interest in the town, including the harbour area including the Black Tower, and the Old Gaol museum. There's pubs and restaurants to suit most tastes - I ate at the Blue seafood restaurant on the quay and it was excellent. For lighter meals there are cafes, coffee-houses and bakery tea rooms to from hipster to traditional. I busy, fun town.

The view of the Wicklow Mountains, while immersed in nature, an expansive property complete with Llamas, yoga studio, gardens and a peaceful ambiance throughout the building helped me relax after a very long journey. If you're looking for a more holistic get-away this would be the place to go.

The location was great to access the Wicklow mountains and to get the bus into Wicklow town. There are good pubs and restaurants in Wicklow.
The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was plenty of storage, even for a week stay. The garden is lovely. The breakfast was good. Nice quiet location.
The owners of the B and B are very friendly and their 2 dogs very cute. They were accommodating giving me a cloth to wipe out our hire car.

Meadow Lane was a delightful little studio apartment in county Wicklow. The host was delightful, the helpful manual left by the host ensured no problems with the appliances and choosing local eateries. This is a particularly beautiful area in Ireland and has many historical sites.
The accommodation was on a farm but extremely close to town and easy to find.
