Really unique experience. Staff took us on a boat ride around the glacier before bringing us to the yurt and it was private and exceptional. Just gorgeous.

Everything was perfect! We loved the bedroom, bathroom and spa. The food was wonderful and the staff super friendly and polite. The prices are on the higher end, but worth it.
The amazing location of Hotel Skaftafell provides guests with stunning views of Iceland's highest mountain, Hvannadalshnjukur and the largest glacier in Europe, Vatnajökull.

The kitchen and dishes and untensils. Providing oil was a benefit . It would have been nice to have a few spices or basic condiments. Great response to our questions from the host.

Loved this location right by the glaciers. Easy to find off the Ring Rd and had a smooth check in. Plenty of room for two people with a nice kitchen which included coffee and oil for cooking which was super helpful. The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of places to put our items. There was also a small sitting area with a table. We saw the northern lights from here one night. Quiet and relaxing area. Very well appointed space, obvious the owners took pride in their work of designing the Potato Storage.
The service was very good. The reception and dining staff were amazing. Super friendly.
Dinner had good options and was delicious. Breakfast is fairly standard inclusive continental.
Location was 100/10 far more scenic than I expected. Right underneath a mountain and only a 15 min drive from guided tour meeting points and glaciers

Hof, like many places in Iceland, is not really a town but a cluster of houses at the base of a mountain; there are no restaurants or services other than the hotel. It is a convenient place to stay when visiting Skaftafell National Park.

Adventure Hotel Hof is a comfortable, clean, modest hotel.
Adventure Hotel Hof is a comfortable, clean, modest hotel. Staff and friendly and helpful, and the meals are good. Adventure Hotel Hof is well suited for the budget conscious traveller. The setting is beautiful, but the town of Hof is very very small. Blink, and you’ll miss it!

Hof seemed to be a small city, perfectly located if you are renting a car to see the area, we came from Vik, and we drove all over the Jökulsárlón and returned on the evening to the hotel. as every village in Iceland, you need to pay attention to the exit, but google map was able to find it and we didn't have any problems. We booked the 2 double room, assuming we needed to share the bathroom, little did we know that the two rooms are part of a cottage and it was like a big 2 bedroom house rather than 2 double room. Breakfast was amazing, and I suppose in aurora season, you can look up and see the northern like, but even if there is no season, waking up to the nature was mind blowing. it was perfect for us, 4 friends who did the ring road in 9 days!
The guesthouse is located in Hof which is a tiny village of maybe 8 or 10 houses. Beautiful surrounding with a little church, very picturesque. It is very quiet. The room and the very modern shared bathroom was very clean. There is a small shared space where 3 or 4 people can sit and have a coffee/tea or heat something in the microwave. There is also a shared fridge.
Hotel very close to glacier lagoon. Easy check in, everything worked perfect, internet and electricity was available all the time despite the storm that kept us locked up for 2 1/2 days in the property as all roads on southeast were closed. Solrún arranged extra accomodations and meals during storm, she took great care of every guest. Thanks.
Love the breakfast spread provided. Booked the hotel due to its close location to Jokulsarlon & Diamond Beach. Love the room. The surrounding of the hotel is pleasant. Near another tourist spot, the Hofskirkja, the turfed church.
