Hvitserkur ocean rock was a waste of time.

Hvitserkur ocean rock was a waste of time. The road to get there is bumpy and gravel. The viewing platform does not get you the close up picture you see online. The get the close up you have to climb down a cliff that is posted with danger signs (not meant for young children), and the tide has to be all the way out. Kolugljufur canyon is pretty. We would have enjoyed hiking the trails in that area but didn't have time.

Good place to stay away from main road and city for calm and cozy atmosphere. This place is surrounded by lush green tress and guest house is a perfect place to stay. Tipin the dog at Guest house is perfect to play with kids and a dog is playing with kids, he is the attraction of all the stay at this place.

All good except having to chase up room code at our accommodation. What ever happened to front desk? As a former hotel operator this is just so cheap. Very sad that this is the way tourism has progressed.

Small town but it has everything you need.

Small town but it has everything you need. The harbour is nice and it was visited by seals, tonnes of birds and a whale during our visit. The restaurant is also good and has a supermarket. Seems like a good place to catch the northern lights.

Staying Eyri Seaside was awesome however, we were there on a Saturday night and there was only one place to eat and it didn’t open until 6:00 pm. It was good but, nothing else in town was open. The grocery store, the gas station, the liquor store were all closed. We found that kind of frustrating being that we had hoped to pick up a few items from the grocery store.

This was a good budget stay for us on our ring road tour.

This was a good budget stay for us on our ring road tour. The breakfast was amazing and the dinner menu was nice after a long day of driving. Pay attention to the check in time- we arrived early and it looked abandoned but we got checked in and had a nice stay

Our best accommodation in Iceland. It’s cozy, comfortable, clean, the view is stunning, the kitchenette equipped with all the necessities. There is a capsule coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster. The bed is very comfortable, the surrounding area beautiful and the walks to the beach stunning. We holed up in the cottage during a very rainy and snowy afternoon and could not have felt more cozy. We would definitely recommend staying here and want to again thank our hosts for creating and sharing such a lovely place!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us. What an amazing and cozy house. It’s truly exceptional. So clean as well. Best place we stayed in Iceland. The house has everything you need and much more. Hot tub and sauna was an amazing addition after our cold and long day. The pancakes with your homemade jam reminded of home. ❤️ I can’t imagine if it could get better than this. Home with a soul. The only our sorry, we came too late and stayed only 1 night. We wish to be there for longer. Thank you again.

The hotel is amazing location for site seeing around Hvítserkur. The staff was great and helpful. While the site says you have to order food 48 hours in advance they were able to serve dinner to my group of 3 without issue. Food was amazing. What a great place to stay.

Lovely reconstructed guest house in the middle of nowhere- literally. Beautiful decoration, large kitchen to share. Mysterious surrounding - our room was with a view to a little cemetery which is related to a famous icelandic story about two executed murderers.
