Really nice hotel, rooms and lobby area are all Versace themed so gold and fancy. The bathroom wasn't yet renovated but still perfectly fine. The Gym was in the basement and probably one of the best hotel gyms I've been to with state of the art equipment, spacious and right next to the bar and spa. I think I had assumed the hot tubs would be free but they were part of the spa you got a discount to use them but we didn't care enough to pay. The lobby bar was good had a happy hour

Easy to get around on foot, lots to do.

Easy to get around on foot, lots to do. Food tour was great.Shopping & eating out is very expensive! But lots of interesting places to eat. But really hard when having a car, parking is very hard to find, signage is hard to understand. There is many zones - need information about them. Parking in the wrong zone or the wrong time can be very expensive!

Happy that we rented a car to get around.

Happy that we rented a car to get around. Not sure how it would have gone if we hadn't. Iceland was EXPENSIVE, but very worth the stopover and experience we had when we got out of the cities and into the countryside - BEAUTIFUL once the clouds lifted! Awesome to have experienced it, and will definitely fly through /stopover again if we have the chance. (We're budget travelers, so check out the grocery stores (Bonus or Netto stores were good), and especially their 'discount' bins :))

Keflavik is a quiet, pleasant, and unpretentious seaside...

Keflavik is a quiet, pleasant, and unpretentious seaside town, very nice for walking about in, and close to the airport. If you’re spending more than a night or two in Iceland and want more excitement, you’ll of course want to stay in Reykjavik, but Keflavik is close to the Blue Lagoon, and with planning, has travel options to see more of this incredible island.

Keflavik was delightful!

Keflavik was delightful! It is near the airport, Blue Lagoon and has majestic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Reykjavik is just up the road 35 minutes away and we were able to enjoy both cities with our stay in Keflavik.

There really wasn’t too much to see.

There really wasn’t too much to see. When I went out for lunch nothing was open till 1130 or 12 and there were no breakfast places if I had wanted it. Very simple little town good enough for what I needed or an overnight stay to get to the airport in the morning to be with great group. Restaurant by the water was very nice but super expensive. Had no idea as an American paying $30 for a bowl of soup in $20 for dessert.

i was there one night for transfer, and the bed was too hard...

i was there one night for transfer, and the bed was too hard plus not enough pillows for the size of the bed. bring your own coffee packets or be charged alot for breakfast. there is a kettle for hot water in the room but only provides tea and fake creamers (and 2 sugars). or you can pay like 10 euros for a coffee from them. i travel alot (about twice a year to the EU from USA) and am so sick of the nickle and dimning these companies do, i try to bring whatever i can. that said, i also only stay in 'nice' places i know i wont catch some nasty bugs or diseases from. this place is VERY nice, you dont have to worry about that here. this place is VERY nice and CLEAN. they have an early airport shuttle if you need it (4-8am) and will call you a taxi after that from reception. overall i highly recommend. they even have happy hour for drinks, a nice restaurant, and everything you would need or want, and the reception is very helpful, i can only 100% recommend to fellow travelers

It was very clean and modern, easy to navigate and find. Very close to the airport, so was a nice place to stay considering I had an early flight the next day! The restaurant had a lot of good food and polite staff, relatively quick service considering it was quite busy. Breakfast had a wide variety to select from. People in the reception were helpful and made sure to check that I was booked for the free airport shuttle, which I appreciated a lot!

Very cozy boutique hotel made special by the super nice, ultra available & sympathetic owners. The beds are very comfy and the entire house is full of nice art. Outdoor hotel pool is a great bonus. Super clean shared bathroom, welcome coffee/tea, nice sitting area. We didn't have breakfast but I imagine it's fab. Exactly 6 minutes from KEF airport. A choice of restaurants around and a nice ocean front walk too. And a cat too!

Close proximity to the airport with sea views. Quiet residential location. Self check in and out so we didn't see any staff, not even at breakfast. Hotel is clean and well decorated throughout. We had a good sized room with a comfortable bed, bathroom had a good shower. Breakfast available from 0400hrs and is self service with a varied choice. Ideal for the airport and local restaurants.

Closest hotel to airport if you have an early flight - walking distance so no shuttle required. Breakfast served from 4am if you have an early flight. Reasonably close to some rental car drop off car parks.
