At first glance, the hotel looks a bit dated or shabby from the outside but The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and everything I needed was there. Friendly and helpful receptionist at check-in. He welcomed me warmly and even gave me a free room upgrade, which was such a nice surprise.

Reykjavik is the starting and ending point for Iceland for those who do the complete ring road. Not much to see or do, it's a base for those who only do the Golden circle. It is a small city, with one main road, with lots of shops. Malls have economical prices. The church was good to visit from inside, one place to surely not miss when in Reykjavik.

Reykjavik was a much more vibrant city than expected!

Reykjavik was a much more vibrant city than expected! While it is a small city, it definitely deserves a long time allocated to visit it and enjoy it thoroughly. It is quite expensive though. The Whales of Iceland museum and the whale watching tours were exceptional. There are a few of small playgrounds if you’re visiting with kids.

I have been to Reykjavik 8 times but still find things to do. It is an expensive city but there are many ways to make it cheaper, the walk around the harbour is long and beautiful, lots of interesting things to see and you can pop into Harpa and wander around too,its a great building (I have even been to a free concert there). The local swimming pools are cheap and have hot pods too, definitely worth a visit. Explore off the high street to find amazing bakeries/cafes and buy treats to take home in Bonus (not gift shops!) I buy Ris biscuits or Icelandic salt to take home as gifts. There are loads of coach trips which go from a local bus station, it runs like clockwork.

I was disappointed in Reykjavik maybe due to my expectations. The landscape is barren with almost no trees and weather can be windy and grey even in June. It is one of the most expensive places I have traveled too and was surprised by how expensive food was and you need to like fish or lamb to eat in many places. The people were friendly; but Infeel like I saw more American tourists than Icelanders!

Great place to stay in the heart of Reykjavik city centre. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is located on paid parking zone, but there were plenty of space to park your car, even in the high tourist season. A little tip for parking - park in zone P3 it is on 70-100m from the apartment, it is a way cheaper than P1. In the apartment there is everything you need for you stay. Even in the city centre it was quiet and you can rest after long day of exploring and hiking in Icelandic nature.

The place is a Vietnamese enterprise comprising restaurant and hotel located right in the city center and footsteps from Hallgrimskirkja. Many details appear improvised, but the rooms are clean and the mattresses new and comfortable. Don't exptect grand hotel flair, but if you want to stay centrally for a decent price, it is very much O.K. There is some renovation going on, so maybe they currently try to raise the level.

Beautiful little hotel in downtown Reykjavik! We loved our stay. Very comfortable and warm. A short 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop for tour pickups (seeing as they can't do direct hotel pickup as it is in an exclusion city centre zone). Thanks to the staff for their friendly service and for allowing us to store our suitcase for our return after a 2-night tour.

Very Nice hotel, closed to the center (about 7 min from Rainbow St). The hotel seems more like a 5 stars based on average world standards. The food at the restaurant was excellent (except the desert). Will definitely go back if I have the opportunity to be in Reykjavik again (hopefully).
