The hotel is in a perfect location in the heart of central Reykjavik and a great base for exploring the city. The beds were comfortable, and the curtains darkened the room nicely, blocking out the midnight sun. The windows open slightly, but if your room faces the street, it can be loud. It was unusually warm when we were there and our room was quite warm. If you are coming in the summer, a small rechargeable fan may be helpful if the heat bothers you. With the windows closed, it was quiet. A kettle was provided in the room, which I appreciated for making tea and instant oatmeal. Staff was very friendly and helpful and arranged a taxi for us to the cruise port the day of our cruise. Breakfast was not included, although it was available at an extra cost. It was an easy walk to Braud & Co for the famous cinnamon rolls and pastries though! We had a rental car and had no problem finding parking within a block or two of the hotel although it's important to note there are several parking zones and they charge different rates. Parking is generally free overnight. If you don't have a car, there is bus service all over the city or you can walk most places easily. It was a lovely small hotel and we'd stay again!

The code to get into the building worked fine for us, and the rooms were large. There were earplugs and we did not find the noise too aggravating, although there WAS intermittent noise throughout the night. There were plenty of outlets for charging stuff. The location is great for getting food and seeing the sights of Reykjavik.

Reykjavik is a beautiful city, with amazing restaurants, excellent shopping and lots to see. I went to Sky Lagoon for the first time, taking the shuttle bus to and from there. Blue Lagoon is also amazing but I wanted to try Sky Lagoon. If you're planning to stay several days, rent a car at the airport. Parking can be a bit tricky and the streets in old Reykjavik are narrow, but it is worth it if you want to see other parts of the country.

    Three days is enough.

Three days is enough. I went to Reyjavik Cathedral, the Town Hall and the Pond, four museums/ art galleries, the Botanic gardens, the old Cemetry, saw a concert at the Harp, watched an Icelandic movie, and walked around town. One day I did the Golden Circle and saw a tomato hot house farm that also had an Icelandic horse show.

Reykjavik is a charming and vibrant city with a unique blend of modern culture and rich history. It offers stunning natural scenery nearby, cozy cafés, interesting museums, and a friendly atmosphere. A perfect destination for anyone looking to experience Icelandic life. Beautiful, quiet, walkable city with lots to do! Dining out is quite expensive and so is alcohol, so we ate some meals at home to save money. A great central hub to do the golden circle, blue lagoon, etc.

The accomodation was clean and the location is really perfect, the BSÍ bus terminal was close by, it's a walking distance to the city centre, plus there are a bunch of day trips where a bus will pick you up directly from the hostel. The rooms, beds and bedding were simple but quite comfortable and clean. There are a lot of bathrooms on every floor so even with the hostel almost full, I never waited too long for one. The kitchenette has everything you need to make a quick. For such a cheap price, this is really an amazing place to stay.

We booked a private room with a private bathroom for one night. It was really cozy, cute and clean. The bathroom was fully equipped and there was tea, boiler and a small fridge in the room 😊 We really enjoyed our stay at this Guesthouse, the guy at the reception was kind and the check-in was easy. We surely suggest it and for sure we would stay there again! It's one of the cheapest guesthouses in Reykjavík and it's quality is not less than a more expensive hotel.
