Agriturismo La Casa di Bacco, hotel in Agrigento

Situated in Agrigento, 30 km from Heraclea Minoa, Agriturismo La Casa di Bacco features accommodation with pool with a view, free private parking, free bikes and a garden.

This agriturismo is nestled within vineyards, about 20 mins drive from Valley of The Temples. The rooms are spacious, with a lovely view (ours had a perfect sunrise view), and the food they serve is the best we've had over a week in Sicily. Dinner is 35 euros per pax, with a veggie option available; a starter, a first course, second course, and choice of desert. You can opt to add on their own wine, also superb. We look forward to their breakfast every morning, as the cakes - orange, lemon, apple, chocolate, are all excellent. The service is warm but non-intrusive, and having a fridge and strong air-conditioning for the hot days was really helpful.

We liked the size of the room and the view from the terace.

We liked the size of the room and the view from the terace. There was a refresment waiting for us (coffe, juice, water, small cake). Room was clean, nice smell. But we spent there a night in January and the heating was not working. I wanted to reheat by warm shower, but there was not enought hot water to even wash my hair. I was frozen and catch a cold over the night. The bed was very noisy with each small move. The window was oposite to a building, very dark inside. All I will remember is dark and cold room. Shell I add how long we were looking for a place to park the car in those tiny streets?

We spent two nights here in winter, which was enough. The temples took a full day, give them time. Lots to see in the old town with plenty exercise climbing all the steps. Lots of great bars and restaurants.

We visited here because we wanted to see the Valley of Temples. We ended up adding a day to our visit to explore the city and relax at Villa Athena Resort, which is really near the archelogical site. Agrigento has many great restaurants and patisseries to help you increase your waistline. Many shops to buy nice clothes and jewelry on the main street Via Atena. Also just a few minute drive to the beach, which offers lots of parking and restaurants.

We loved the old town with narrow streets and many intimate piazza’s. We found it a bit difficult accessing and using public transport so we walked everywhere. Everything of archeological interest was quite close, the churches were beautiful but a little more subdued than most. The food was delicious, our air bnb host was excellent. It wasn’t difficult to park the car free as well.

We visited Agrigento to see the valley of the Temples and we were not disappointed. We visiting in our own car and so concerned about parking. Parking at the valley was easy with lots of room and a machine which accepted cash and cards to pay for the parking, which was not expensive. Pay the 6 Euros to get a hand held guide in your own language, it tells you everything about each temple and the ancient Greek city (Akragas). You can see the whole site in a day.

The host and his brother were exceptional knowledgeable and friendly. They made sure that our free parking near the hotel was legitimate and carried our luggage to our room up the stairs--No Elevator- The place was in a historic location and we felt like guests in a palazzo. They took us up to the roof terrace to see the views. A wonderful breakfast was served outside on the terrace overlooking the ruins of Agrigento and the sea. Exceptional Sicilian restaurants are right near the B & B

This is a great place from which to explore the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento. At this family-run hotel the staff are incredibly friendly and helped us with every possible need, from parking our car, carrying heavy bags and providing local information. An exceptional and leisurely breakfast is offered on the roof terrace, using local produce, much of it from the family's own harvest. The friendliest stop on our tour of Sicily!

I can’t say enough about the breakfast. Our best and most authentic meal of the day and each day Sandro packed a snack bag that more than kept us going on our road trips. Much of it from his farm! Fabio is a delightful host - went out of his way to guide us to Casa Tita and make us feel right at home. Sincere and welcoming. Best stop on our 10 days in Sicily.

Such a great place! Located near Agrigento with a view on the temples. But more than this, such a nice family that manages this B&B. We have traveled the tour of Sicily, but this was by far our best experience. And let's not forget the animals that live there, especially Tito the dog... this little guy stole my heart :-)

The best accommodation we had in our road trip from Sicily. The only regret I have is that we only stayed one day. The location is excellent, and room no.1 is the best with see view balcony and a very beautiful design. If we return to Agrigento we will definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this place!
