Every detail of the hotel is thoughtfully designed and beautifully maintained. You can truly feel the charm, elegance, and tranquility throughout the entire property. It felt like a dream staying here.
What made the experience even more exceptional was the incredible staff. Martina, Davide, Marco, Silvia, and Giulio were all amazing — warm, caring, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. They made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly elevated the entire experience.

Arezzo is the perfect size for wondering around, and has an endless selection of excellent cafes and restaurants. The city is buzzing without being crowded and we saw no large groups of obvious tourists.
Despite it's modest size Arezzo is blessed with a world class selection of galleries and museums with exhibits clearly labeled in both Italian and English. Visit them all. The City is also very well connected by both train and bus, making places like Rome, Florence, Sienna and Cortona (a must see) easily accessible without a car. For the extra thrill, time your visit to take in the jousting festival (twice a year) or the monthly antique market.

Arezzo is one of those Italian cities that really rewards you for keeping your plans simple. It’s “okay” in the best way—comfortable, historic, and not so overwhelming that you feel like you’re constantly rushing. You can wander comfortably, grab a coffee, and still make real progress seeing what matters. The city has a strong sense of place: medieval streets, thoughtful architecture, and local energy that feels lived-in rather than staged for tourists. You’ll get the vibe without needing a giant checklist.
What makes Arezzo especially good is that many of its most meaningful sights sit close enough to each other that you can stitch them together naturally on foot. You’re not just ticking boxes—you’re moving through a coherent experience. Add in the fact that the pace is relaxed, and it’s easy to enjoy the small details: viewpoints, charming squares, and shops where locals actually seem to spend time.
The good news? A two-day visit to Arezzo captures what you really need to see. You can cover the key historical areas, enjoy the atmosphere, and still have time for a slower meal.

Arezzo has a slower, more authentic feel than many better-known Tuscan destinations, with an extraordinary historic centre that is easy to explore on foot. Piazza Grande is particularly impressive, with its unusual shape and remarkable mix of medieval and Renaissance architecture.

Loved how safe Arezzo was, we enjoyed just wandering around the streets and the Piazza Grande was lovely. Really enjoyed the National Archaeological Museum, Museum of the Joust, The National Museum of Medieval and Modern Art, The Basilica Di San Francesco and the Fortezza Medicea.
Can highly recommend doing a pasta cooking class - Arezzo: Pasta and Tiramasu Cooking Class with unlimited Wine, with Antonella and Barbara was so much fun and delicious!

Beautiful old town with some good restaurants and bars. Visited the gold museum and the cathedral which were very interesting. Too hot to do much walking around. Check out Antique market on 1st Sunday of the month and various festivals throughout the summer in Arezzo and neighbouring towns.

Arezzo is a fantastic town.
Arezzo is a fantastic town. Cumulatively I've spent over 5 months there, and I think it hits the sweet spot of a place that is equipped for and expects tourists but is never really overwhelmed by then. People are nice, the food is great, there are things to see and do, and the train station is close to the center so you can take day trips elsewhere without much of a problem. I am not going to make specific recommendations, since it actually is one of those places where you'll eat pretty well no matter where you go, and you'll do extra well if you get some typical Tuscan fare or even some specifically Aretine food. There is a surprising number of museums worth seeing, such as the archaeological museum. On the whole, I really highly recommend Arezzo

Cuprena is a gorgeous, intimate and relaxed stay in a beautiful setting to enjoy Tuscany. Close to Arezzo, which is definitely worth a visit. & An hour drive away from other Tuscan cities such as Sienna and Florence. The staff are lovely and always happy to help / give recommendations, and the food is absolutely delicious. Eating at the Hotel restaurant for dinner is a must, and the Breakfast is equally fantastic. We stayed on our honeymoon and would definitely come back :)

A beautifully welcoming apartment, close to the train station and historical centre of Arezzo. Tasteful decor and nice little touches made the place homely and very relaxing to return to after a day sightseeing. The balcony was a pleasant addition for morning coffee or an evening drink, overlooking the park.

The hotel locates near station Arezzo Casella 1 of local railway to Casentino in one stop from Arezzo Centrale. To walk to the city center 15-25 min, to Arezzo Centrale and bus station - 20-30 min. The room had all basic amentities including a kettler. The bathroom had shower, WC, bide. The breakfast was good. The staff was helpful.

Good value for the money. We travel with two motorcycles and they have a safe private parking, under a locked gate, on the back side of the hotel. Price is 3€ per day/moto.
