Tucked into rocks and mountains, Splendid overlooks the Ionian Sea and the Calabrian coast, a short walk from Taormina’s picturesque town centre and 3-minute walk from Corso Umberto main street.

The hotel has a great location, close to attractions and restaurants. The common areas are lovely, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Located at Taormina Mare, the hotel offers an enchanting view over the Bay of Naxos and Cape Taormina; a magnificent panorama that can be admired from each of the guestrooms and from the restaurant.
Hotel Continental is situated in the heart of Taormina, a 2-minute walk from the Cathedral and the main pedestrian street Corso Umberto.

Sky Roof Top restaurant/bar. Super view of town and sea. This hotel is on a hill but it is worth staying for the lovely view. All staff are very friendly and helpful. We will go back again.
The elegant, refined Hotel Ariston is located near Taormina's ancient Greek theatre, surrounded by a Mediterranean park. The hotel offers stunning views of the coast and free WiFi throughout.

Staff were all very friendly from checking in to breakfast, bar etc.
Everywhere spotlessly clean.
Lovely pool area.
Close to bus stn.and Taormina.
It is a beautiful little mountain top village. Nice hike/walk down to Taormina or easy bus if you wish. Great place to relax. I would worry about it being even more overrun with tourists in peak season but it makes sense why. If you drive by car and are not comfortable with small, steep roads - take some anxiety meds and take your time!

Quiet and quaint village.
Quiet and quaint village. The views are amazing, there are the basic shops like pharmacy and grocer in case you need something. The only downside is the frequency of the busses out of Castelmola. The first one is about 6.30am-7am to go to Taormina, and then the next one is 10am.
Most shops open around 10am, except for the cafe in the piazza and the pharmacy, which open earlier. You can get anywhere in Castelmola on foot. There is also il sentiero dei Saraceni which takes you on foot to Taormina. It is a steep walk down so prepare comfortable shoes if you plan on taking this walk.

Amazing place to stay.
Amazing place to stay. We went to Taormina for the day and enjoyed Castelmola during the evenings. Amazing view of the city and Mt Etna from the castle. It was easy to get to Taormina and we used both walking paths to get upto Castelmola, we enjoyed both paths equally. Loads of good shops/restaurants in the area too. Pizzeria Nina for pizza was amazing.

Castelmola is a very nice and well maintained small village.
Castelmola is a very nice and well maintained small village. We ate in the B&B so I can not say anything about the restaurants but there are Some nice bars.
We had a parking space in front of the B&B for free

It's a lovely small village above Taormina.
It's a lovely small village above Taormina. It is quiet, has beautiful views and friendly locals. The centre is lively, however not crowded or noisy. It was perfect, we loved it even better than Taormina!

Old Narrow streets, little bars and restaurants with spectacular views from so high, quite small so not too exhausting walking in 30+ temperatures but plenty of choice for refreshments including the famous bar Turrissy. Ours was a "family" visit with my Wife and eldest daughter 39!

We only had a short stay but felt really comfortable in the apartment. Two separate bathrooms were perfect for a group, comfortable beds, clean, amazing view, 30min walk by foot to Taormina, private parking.
It is a bit challenging to go uphill with the car to Castelmola but in turn you get a very quiet apartment with a great view and some restaurants around.
You can hear the neighbors a bit as the walls are not very thick but we personally did not mind; it was still very quiet in the evening and we slept well.
The place was wonderful, very clean, spacious, with a great terrace and beautiful views. We had everything we needed and more. The host, Antonella, was very friendly and, although we didn't meet her, she kept regularly in touch making sure we had everything we needed and we were fine. Definitely recommend this property, just outside Castelmola and not far from Taormina, to anyone, especially people that like quietness.
Amazing place with a stunning view, 2 floor apartment with a charming balcony. Very close to the main piazza in Castelmola but still very quiet. Coffee machine, tea and a small breakfast sweets available in the kitchen. The Host was very kind, everything worked out perfectly. Absolutely worth recommending:)
