Le Dune Sicily Hotel is only 2 km away from the city centre of Catania. It lies in an enchanting place between the golden sand of "de La Plaia" beach and a beautiful small Maritime pine forest.

The location was great! The room was larger than I thought which was a surprise. heart of everything. There is no lift so it's alot of stairs to walk up but one of the front desk was nice enough to help carry my bag up to the top floor.

Located on Sicily’s eastern coast, at the foot of Mount Etna, Catania is the island’s second largest city. This charming destination features unique Sicilian Baroque architecture, large squares, avenues and a very important port.
On the northern side of the Cathedral Square, the historical Palazzo degli Elefanti houses the Town Hall of Catania. The Elephant Fountain is the city’s symbol and the entrance to the main shopping area. Surrounded by stunning Baroque buildings, Piazza del Duomo is a popular meeting point for tourists and locals.
Dedicated to Saint Agata and built over the Roman Baths of Achilles, the Duomo has an impressive facade that is one of Gia Battista Vaccarini’s masterpieces. The cathedral’s dome dates to 1802, while in the vaulted interior is the grave of the well-known composer Vincenzo Bellini.
Facing the Ionian Sea, this beautiful seaside place is one the hottest Italian cities during the summer. Mount Etna is an active volcano and a nice place for skiing in winter or a trip to the solidified rivers of lava during the rest of the year.
With the busiest airport in Sicily, Catania-Fontanarossa Airport, Catania is easily accessible by numerous European destinations like Munich, Rome and London. You can stay in one of the Catania hotels, guest houses or hostels Booking.com offers.
Very dirty city and very noisy. Lots of beggars and homeless continually asking for money even at restaurant tables. No water at all in the whole of Catania for 24 hours - no prior warning! Unbelievable considering they want to spend millions on a bridge!!!!

Catania is a very dirty city, filled with graffiti and garbage with rail lines running along the shore, so it is not an ideal holiday spot at all, although Catanians love it and are very loyal to their city. If you are Ianding at CTA airport for a short stay, its the most convenient for arranging tours to Siracusa, Agrigento or Etna. If you are staying any length of time, I would choose an alternate city.

Catania is nice city for people who like cultural and night life. There are many museums, opera theatre, also lots of attractions for young people, like extraordinary bars with live music and night clubs in the historical buildings.

I would recommend that Catania should not detain 'SY' for long, but rather move 'SY' around the island. For example, we did not make it to Palermo - it was a pity to spend so much time on the road.

Lovely small city, and a college town so it has a relevant vibe to it. Very nice restaurants in addition to the regular tourist sites. Great food overall. I’d recommend Scirocco for authentic Catanian “street food,” as well as the fish market and DEFINITELY a St. Agatha pastry and some arancine!!). I’d recommend also visiting Ortigia/Siracusa, as the Greek influence is quite impressive—particularly the main cathedral.

City appeared rather grubby and pavements and roads were not in great condition. However, people were friendly and helpful and it’s a great location for exploring the area like Taormina, Etna and Syracuse easy to get around and great bus and train services. Lots of lovely restaurants

Perfect for stay close to airport. 4 minute walk and there's a special walkway with big signs leading to airport. Very easy walk with luggage. We'll lit at night as well and there's security cars around so very safe. Room was very nicely done and emCulately clean. Coffee maker, kettle, hairdryer, mini fridge, closet, snacks $. We had the room with large balcony with view of Mount Etna.
Best hotel for overnight near airport. So convenient and definitely a nice boutique feel.
My wife and I had to stay in Sicily for an extra day because our flight got canceled. The airline didn't help us out with a hotel room, so we had to scramble and find a hotel close to the airport. We were pretty stressed and tired, but we lucked out when we found this gem of a hotel. Even though we rolled in super late, they treated us so well that we completely forgot about our flight hassles. I'd totally tell anyone to stay there!
The apartment is in the very center of the city. Extremely clean, comfortable and functional accommodation. Towels are changed daily. The hotel organizes taxi transport from the airport. An extremely kind driver, I would say a friend of the hotel owner, explained to us what to see, visit, where the good restaurants are. Everything was great. Warm recommendation to everyone who wants to visit Catania.
This is a modern hotel well placed near the coast road through Catania. Welcoming staff and smart bedrooms with a very large balcony. Breakfast was very good and the underground car park is very useful. It was ideal for our first night in Sicily. Comfortable and nicely furnished
