Clean and comfortable hotel close to the train station. 10 minutes walk to historic centre. Room was clean and comfortable with good shower and air con. Staff were very helpful. Need to put more coffee in the room each day, 3 sachets is not enough for 2 people per day! Used the spa which was very good, you have to book this and it costs €19 euros, we weren’t aware of this and it wasn’t mentioned on the original booking or by the receptionist when we booked it, they kindly removed this for us at checkout. The hotel does have an old fashioned and traditional feel to it. We didn’t try the breakfast here so can’t comment on that. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

THe quality of the food at breakfast was very poor considering itaian food standard in general. The internal decoration of the building and rooms are really old. The staff is superbe really friendly and accommodating. We needed a late check out they came towards us and accommodate our last minute request

Wonderful Breakfast, very cute and vintage style of decor, comfortable beds (booked a double but came with three beds in total so 👍🏻👍🏻) offered luggage storage, excellent location being very close to both the S.M. Novella train station and various attractions. Absolutely love it here.

    The kids were a little bit tired with the museum visits. Make sure to visit Boboli Gardens and the Pitti Palace. Plan for excursions outside the city (e.g. Pisa, Lamborgini Museum with factory tour). Food and ice cream were great for a touristic destination, try trattoria Antico Fattore for bistecca and Mangia Pizza for pizza. Our host (Melarancio Apartments) was excellent, always accessible and really helpful.

    We stayed for two weeks in a vacation home on the Altrano side. Then, after travelling in Tuscany for a couple of weeks we stayed in Firenze for the last two nights of our trip. We are frequent travelers to Italy an Firenze is one of our very favorite cities. We always look forward to finding new restaurants and bars in the city. Sometimes the crowds can be overwhelming but we try and avoid certain parts of town at certain times.

    The city's historic buildings are fantastic.

    The city's historic buildings are fantastic. But if you don't like the heat and crowds don't go in Summer. If you are visiting Florence for the first time, go in a quieter month so you can get into the sites without having to join a very long queue.

    It’s a very vibrant city and super walkable. The architecture, history, and art is breathtaking. We spent one day at a cooking class about 20 minutes outside of town at a beautiful kitchen and gardens overlooking a Tuscan valley.

    Florence was amazing!

    Florence was amazing! So much to see and do and not enough time. My highlights were the Uffizi Gallery where the Birth of Venus is (its even more beautiful in real life), Galleria University where you will see the statue of David (he's bigger than you think!), and all the amazing food choices (The Florentine steak is a must, as is some gelato). We would highly recommend going to Florence for at least a week.

    Daniele was excellent with his communications before and during the stay, and took time out on our first morning to give us an excellent overview of Florence advising us on places to go, to eat, avoid, etc. This really set us off with confidence and helped us make the best of our 3 days in the city. The room was also larger than expected, four poster bed, great shower, rooftop terrace, good location with a great cafe (Lietta's) just 3 mins away with the best cappuccino and croissants we had in all our time travelling in Italy.

    This is the best value for money option and the best non-hotel accommodation I have ever had in Italy. Beautifully decirated brand new apartment in historical palazzo which surprisingly will not make you feel medieval in means of comfort. Great taste and ability to fit modern utilites in the old fashioned building. Everything you would need is there, including all kitchen stuff and bathroom kits. Beds are super comfy. Wifi is excellent. I recommend this option as a priority when looking for a place to stay in Florence.

    It’s one of the best houses where I stayed in Italy! It’s in the very beautiful territory where you can feel the Tuscany nature despite the fact that you’re in a city. The house is very beautiful, spacious and clean. There are so many small details that make you feel that you’re home and not in the hotel! The owner is very friendly, helpful and nice person. The house is good connected with the center of city, and it’s not far. For us it was a pity that we booked it’s only for 1 night, we would stay there more!

    This is a hidden gem in the hills of Florence, just 15 minutes drive from the city center. Martina and her husband are perfect hosts, gave us the best tips for restaurants (Zocchi) and ice cream (Badiani). The apartment was spacious, well-equipped, and our terrace let no wish unanswered: full view of the Hills of Tuscanny right in front of our eyes. The pool is amazing. We are often in Italy but this was clearly one of the best experiences.
