Stayed here with my daughter and we loved the walk along the water to the historic downtown. Was close to some delicious restaurant recommendations that the front desk staff made. Loved the room. It was spacious and felt high-end with fresh renovations. We felt safe and cared for. Nice to have the coffee and refrigerated water as well as the extra toiletries in the bathroom. Would stay here again. Quiet and restful.

Florence is my favorite city in all of Italy and I like alot of other places. but this place just as a feel and belonginess to it.. there are times where there are too many tourists, but that is also a part of its charm.. people from all over the world will come here to enjoy the history, the culture, the food, and the Italian sense of the world.. It's has just enough Ameircan for all the large number of US study abroad students who clamor here to learn the Italian language and culture. Tuscany is like another heaven with small city states that have kept their flavor and history and one can drive through the curvy road seeing vineyards, restaurants, osteria on all the various tours you can take from Flroence. Nothing beats seeing the sunset over the bridges on the river Po and enjoying a gelato.... If you enjoy people watching and embibing in the local culture and enjoying spritz or Brunello.. .. come in spring or fall to really enjoy the full spirit. I come every year for my brithday in March .. Fllorence is my brithday gift to msyelf... and I often come by myself to enjoy it fully. the otter magical time... Christmas/New Years.. the city becomes a lviing Christmas tree wtih lights.. all over...

Florence is beautiful- the historic centre is amazing and full of buzz the size of the duomo is breathtaking but so are the cues. I recommend going to the piazza de Michael Angelou for an amazing view. Opposite the Pritti paleace there is a line of lovely restaurants that are a little quieter than the main roads -we went to one called The Bellini twice as they made lovely frozen cocktails and the food was delicious and freshly made the service there was so friendly and not some of the sneering anti tourist attitude we’ve encountered I Italy at times and at the other restaurant just next door was lovely too with fabulous decor. -they trump the over filled eateries near the duomo.

Such a beautiful city and very easy to navigate!

Such a beautiful city and very easy to navigate! The heat was a bit oppressive in August but thankfully a lot of major museums are air conditioned. I loved the chill vibe of Santo Spirito for a quick outdoor drink before dinner, the Giunti Odeon Cinema/bookshop, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Galileo Museum. One note: if using buses or trams, be very careful about contactless payment! I thought I'd paid, but it turned out that my card hadn't registered (you have to hold your card down for quite a bit until you get a green "okay" image), and I ended up being fined 40 euros by the transport police. Lesson learned, just bought paper tickets after that to be safe.

We enjoyed driving and visiting Siena.

We enjoyed driving and visiting Siena. We took a pasta-making class at ALREDO Cooking Class. Went to museums, churches, and dining. One thing is that you need to make a plan in advance if you want to attend specific events, and the booking process moves quickly. Sometimes you will need to budget and decide which events you really want to attend or which classes you want to take.

For guests coming by car, this is an ideal place in Florence. Although the entrance is a bit narrow (not unexpected in Italy), the parking is sizable, comfortable and the location is right at the edge of the ZTL zone, easily accessible. The hotel itself has great and attentive staff, big rooms and even though it is placed on the border of the historic center, it is very calm and quiet.
