This hotel was close to the train station yet private. Teatro Dell 'Opera was located directly across the street. It was charming to open the window and peer down on the streets below. The restaurant across the street had a violinist in the evening and I felt that I had my own serenade.

The parts of Rome we saw, including the tourist must see stuff was ok as long as you accept the buildings are old and could benefit from a lot of TLC. Stay away, FAR AWAY, from the.Hop On Hop Off bus tours. They do not go to the expected destinations and you have to determine how to get to your highlight. There are no walking instructions given. Save a lot of cash & take public transportation since it is good & inexpensive.

Loved Rome, so much history, you have to be prepared to do a lot of walking as it is the easiest way to get around. It was extremely busy with tourists everywhere you went, but heaps of eating options.

Rome is an extraordinary city, layered with history and full of wonderful buildings and a patrimony of art. Best seen on foot, exploring the alleys and byways and the out-of-the-way churches, as well as visiting the major monuments, which tend to be very crowded at peak times. My advice would be to seek out the small osterie and restaurants in the side streets away from the crowds, and eat the local dishes, rather than look for non-Italian fare. Remember that there is more to Italian food than pizza and pasta! It is easy getting around Rome on foot or by bus. You don't need to buy expensive tourist daily or weekly tickets: use the local ones, which you can buy from news agents and tabacchi. For non-Romans, avail yourself of a good guidebook, so that you know what you are seeing, and can plan your priorities, and use the maps App on your phone to chart your routes across the city. You need to book in advance for some venues. You won't see it all in one go - I have been visiting Rome for 50 years and have not seen it all yet - so make some choices and come back.

Rome is the eternal city. An open air museum. I recommend to study the city in advance (watch video documentaries on line) and then establish what you want to see first. Make an itinerary. You will not be able to see everything. Use the trains (buy the 48 h pass). Be prepared to walk long distances and wait in line.

Late Sep 2024 in Rome was super crowded.
While the city is wonderful, the crowds made the place less enjoyable. Could not even get a decent pic near Trevi fountain. PEople were everywhere and felt it was mobbed.
FOod was disappointing, except for gelato. Pizza, pasta were all sub-par and tourist hyped.

Rome certainly provided an insight from a historical point of view, when visiting the various landmarks within the city. Yes, it's very busy with tourists but has a good buzz of atmosphere. The only thing I'd say is that there were a lot of landmarks undergoing maintenance, which was kind of a let down, but understandable to keep them looking good for tourists. You have hundreds of places to eat or drink and many shops, to bring back gifts for family or friends. Many leather shops, for belts, handbags, wallets etc, we went to T-Nobile, who have a wide variety of products of great quality and very good prices. Getting around Rome was pretty easy, for us we stayed at TH Carpegna Palace Hotel located in Aurelia and a 5min walk to Cornelia metro station was ideal and within 20-30 mins you were in central Roma and can walk around the city quite easily to landmarks.

Piccola Navona was our best stay in Italy. Impressively clean and the staff were amazing, it’s location a plus. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in the past, many of them not too accommodating. Alberto, Juliet, and the rest of the staff at Piccola Navona has been an absolute star, from arranging our transportation from the airport, to ensuring we had the correct mattress and pillows for our comfort, and having our room cleaned with fresh towels daily. We will definitely stay here again at our next trip to Rome.
I usually don’t put reviews on booing.com, but this apartment deserve an exception.
The apartment in very good location, where you feel like you’re living in the town, and everything is close. Also, the house has that Italian touch where it has a nice garden with a beautiful and wide living room and nice arts on the wall.
Finally, an advise to anyone going Rome, if you want to live the full Italy experience stay in this apartment as it was the best part in our holiday.
Big thanks for the friendly owner.
This is definitely a rare find! The staff treated us like we were kings and queens and the bed was extra comfortable and the best part of our stay was the breakfast! In all of my trips to Italy, I have never eaten italian cornetti (croissant) that were that good! I’m always traveling for work and it is the first time that I can say that a hotel is definitely cheaper than what they should actually charge! I really recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Rome!
This was the best place we stayed in Italy. Nice and new, modern and contemporary. Felt extremely clean, comfortable beds and we were lucky enough to have a view of Piazza Venezia from our room. Great location, we walked everywhere and didn’t have to use public transport once. Plus the breakfast! Pietro really went the extra mile to make breakfast each morning that bit special. Will definitely be back when we return to Rome.
I have been to Rome for work and visit few times. This is one of the best Hotel I stayed in terms of location and access.
We recommended to our collogues and partner company in Italy to suggest this Hotel for any booking.
Staff team is so supportive.
All the best.
