The staff is very nice until something happens, in my case it was a broken bed, they had me call them on WhatsApp with camera on and lift up the bed at 1 am in the night before allowing me to switch rooms.

Possibly the best city in the world (history, by the sea, islands and boating, beauty, variety of sights). Expensive but worth it, recommend 24 hrs boat pass. Bring good shoes, we walked 15.000 steps every day incl bridges all over. Vaporettis are easy but full.

Venice is a unique and beautiful city.
Venice is a unique and beautiful city. I hadn't visited for 40 years and was astonished at the masses of tourists, many of whom are seen trawling along single file behind a flag waving tour guide, no chance for them to follow their curiosity down the less trodden path.
The Vaporettos were very overcrowded, and we were visiting in the shoulder season, I would hat to see it in the height of summer.
I was also saddened that the iconic landmarks such as Piazza San Marco were tarnished by the proliferation of stalls selling trashy souvenirs and T-shirts, none of which would have been made in Italy.
Rise early and visit the main attractions before the masses arrive. Stay out of the madding crowd and wander through the less busy areas, and choose accommodation in the quieter areas.

Venice is culture, culture, culture!
Venice is culture, culture, culture! We attended a Vivaldi concert in a church that was spectacular and inexpensive. My husband doesn't really care too much for classical music, and he was floored and very happy we went. The food is phenomenal; you have to walk to the back streets to find the non-touristy restaurants. They are FANTASTIC!!!!! There is a great appetizer called Fritto Misto di Mare, (lightly fried seafood) which is so good. Must try, not greasy at all, goes great with an Aperol spritz!
I did not expect Venice to be so packed, we went in the third week of May....almost felt like a theme park at times. However, once you walk to the back streets and wander, you find the magic of Venice. It is enchanting. Venetians are kind and very proud of their beautiful Venice.

Best for a 3-night trip.
Best for a 3-night trip. You can see/visit most of the landmarks in a day.
Just remember to book in advance some of the places of interest like, basilicas, doge palace etc. Tickets sell too fast, especially during the season.

The system on Booking.com failed as a result of a scam so our booking, although confirmed and booked several months in advance for this, ended up being lost on the system. This left us on the streets of Venice in the early hours of a Sunday morning with no access to the accommodation and no response from Wonderful Italy or Booking.com
Eventually a hotel took us in at 2am.
Very upsetting and disappointing experience to our romantic trip.
I enjoyed the easy access to everything in Venice, i could walk everywhere. Lots of great restaurants around the hotel and a few mtrs from the water bus station. The gentleman at the bar really went above and beyond to make our stay here a pleasant one. He even prepared a delicious pasta dish for us that i rate as one the best meals i have had in Italy.. thi is a great hotel otherwise, will highly recommend it.
Location! Breakfast was great. The staff were all super nice. We just got back from a July trip. Super hot in Venice, air conditioning in our room wasn’t great at all, however it’s probably not great at any hotel in Venice. The bathroom was huge and updated. Very nice bathtub which can be a rare find in Italy.
First time in Venice.. The best location I could think of. The hotel itself was a boutique like, very cosy, quiet and clean. And above all this, the staff was extremely kind an friendly. Definitely recommended for couple.
