Its better to take 5-7 days in Venice, 1-2 days its not enough, I love Venice, its amazing place, its many people but its not a big deal, i dont like is a long line to take a picture to the Iconic Rialto Bridge=( Highly Recommended Restaurant is Ristorante Sempione, the food is so delicious=) especially the fried mixed seafood so yummy=) another tip dont ever, ever take a big heavy luggage its not recommended=) another tip, the location makes you lost=) but if you are a positive people it is fun to get lost=) but if you are with the people that not so much patience its better to be alone =) rather than with someone make you stress, angry, and a person with pessimistic=) Another tip if you want to stay in Venice only overnight you will not pay for entrance fee,but pay for tax fee from the hotel you want to stay. But if you want to come to visit friday, saturday, sunday only 1 day you will pay the entrance fee. I will love to come back again in Venice=)

    İt's a different experience.

İt's a different experience. Bring your walking/running shoes with you because you are going to walk a lot to actually explore the best parts of Venice. Or you could be boring and taking the waterbus everywhere, but miss 80% of the gems. Very friendly and happy people. Everywhere i was walking they were singing. I visited Le Cafe a lot of times. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Bring some coins with you if you want to take some shortcuts with gondala. I kept finding myself at the Piazza San Marco. If you are solo traveler like me, i suggest you to bring a tripod for your phone/camera. That way you can take way better photos.

Highly recommend staying at a hotel in Venice instead of travelling in. Much easier to move around in the evenings and find places you would never have known about in a 1 day visit. Highly recommend the pizza restaurant at the arsenal, next to Ponte del Paradiso bridge. It's out of the way of the tourist masses and it has a nice little outdoor seating area next to the canal. Also recommend the perfume museum. It's 10 euros for entry, but you get to walk around a Venician palazzo which still has the original paintings and decorations up. Even if you don't like perfume, just to walk around the building is a unique experience.

Venice is an open air museum and must be respected as such.

Venice is an open air museum and must be respected as such. It's a city that offers so much and consequently there are too many tourists. It's very easy to get around because of the vaporetti that are frequent and well organized. It's impossible to see everything so plan your visit, choosing what you want to see in accordance with the number of days of your stay.

Staying actually in Venice makes all the difference:...

Staying actually in Venice makes all the difference: wonderful to be around in the early morning or late evening when most of the day visitors have gone. A unique place. Just let yourself wander about in and out of the calli, it feels very safe and you can't really get lost. I recommend a vaporetti pass for at least 48 hours. It's a great way to see the city and explore the other islands although there will be queues to get on if you aren't out and about early. Found a lovely restaurant to eat out on our last night, near il Ponte di Tre Archi. Called "Very Good"and it was! All fresh-cooked food, reasonable price so good with a family, seating outside by the canal or inside.

This was our second visit to Venice.

This was our second visit to Venice. I don't recommend Venice in July or August. We were there in July and it was hot and extremely crowded. Food was great and the location of our apartment was excellent. We were in between Rialto Bridge and San Marco square. Close to many things to see and do. I look forward to visiting again in the off season.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOUTIQUE HOTEL, AND FOR FIRST TIME TRAVELORS TO VENICE IT WAS THE PERFECT LOCATION. IT IS IN THE HEART IF THE BEST PART OF VENICE, AND ALLOWS EASY ACCESS TO EVERYWHERE ELSE. THE ROOM IS BEAUTIFULLY SET UP, COSY, CLEANED DAILY, AND SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. WE HAD A SMALLER ROOM COMPARED TO OTHERS BUT IT WAS PERFECT FOR THE TWO OF US. THE STAFF ARE FANTASTIC AND HELPUL, AND WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO ENSURE WE WERE COMFORTABLE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN AND AGAIN IF I RETURN TO VENICE.

This was our best hotel stay in Italy. It is a beautiful traditional hotel in the heart of Venice. The room was tasteful, clean and extremely comfy with a lovely bathroom with great shower. The breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and courteous (thank you Grace). It is located within walking distance to all the sights and just 50m from the Vaporetto (bus Route 1 and couple of stops from the trainstation). It was very quiet at night and we slept like logs. Highly recommended.
