We had a truly wonderful stay at Boutique Hotel Touring in Verona. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth truly made us feel at home and made Verona feel like an even more special place in our memories. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with everything we could ask for. Perhaps only a small suitcase stand would be a nice addition, but it wasn’t an issue at all. The breakfast was delicious and diverse – a perfect start to each day. Overall, we feel we received much more than we paid for, in both service and experience. Thank you again for everything – we would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Verona!

This is a beautiful property and mislabeled as a 3 star. Perhaps because it is not a traditional hotel. However, it's beautiful and comfortable and the staff is great. A top notch, 5 star stay.

FAQs about hotels in Verona

A Shakespearean Fairytale

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalized in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.

Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.

Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheater which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theater whose remains are partly beneath a house.

The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which have cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laid back and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.

Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.

Verona is cozy, historical, smaller than other Italian cities we all know of, just right size to have relaxing days in. Watching an opera in Verona Arena (2,000 years old) is once in a lifetime experience for me.

I have been to Verona many times and its always Amazing and Wonderful. One of the most Beautiful Towns in Italy. The colosseum is amazing and we took the opportunity to see the Opera under the stars. Older than the one in Rome and in much better shape. Great Shopping and Food. Prices are very reasonable for such amazing food. The history is incredible always enjoy being there. Our best visit was to the Palazzo Maffei which had an very impressive art collection (and good air-conditioning). We also recommend the Chiesa di Santa Maria in Organo, open at weekends with a free personal guided tour offered by volunteers. We enjoyed two Verdi operas performed at the atmospheric Arena. Our visit was at the end of June and the beginning of July which, unfortunately, coincided with an extreme heat wave. This limited what we could comfortably do and we abandoned our plan to visit neighbouring towns, although I did make two trips to Lake Garda, which is easily reached by train or bus. If returning, we would avoid the summer.

Verona is a beautiful place with so much to see and do.

Verona is a beautiful place with so much to see and do. Go on an organised walking tour - it's a great way to see the main sights. There's also a hop on hop off bus with 2 routes - it's a great way to see round the city as well. There are loads of lovely restaurants, you'll be spoilt for choice. If you go during the opera festival try to go to at least one night - it's held in the open air amphitheatre (Verona Arena) and is a fabulous experience - if you're in the cheaper seats rent a cushion when you get there - it's really cheap and you'll be glad you did.

Beautiful old city.

Beautiful old city. The historically dubious Guilietta's (Juliet's) House and the Arena do get pretty crowded but there are plenty of quieter streets. With the summer Opera in the arena and the MAF, Castelvecchio and Palazzo Maffei (with paintings by Picasso, Modegliani, Magritte and others) galleries there is plenty for the art lover.

Of our 10 days in Italy this was our favourite stay, communication from Daniel was top notch, kept in touch from the moment we made the booking and whilst we were staying to check everything was ok. Our room was lovely, bed was huge and very comfortable, we loved the snack room where you could help yaself 24/7. The hotel was right next to the river and very close to the main square. We felt very safe walking around at night time.

Good location for shops, market and key attractions, breakfast was varied with a mixture of foods, staff friendly and helpful room size was good slippers along with toiletries provided. Not far from amphitheater with lots of restaurants dotted around. Make sure you take lots of money as many great things to buy. Cab journey from Verona airport costs about €35 to hotel.
