Verona in a fantastic compact historical city with loads of churches, museums, galleries, ancient sites to visit. Great for shopping in the mostly pedestrianised centre. Lots of cultural activities and almost always and explanation in Italian and English. Lovely walks by the river and countless places to eat and drink. Do you homework to get the most out of your trip. You can easily go by train to Lake Garda, Vicenza and Mantova as well as places farther afield.

There is plenty to see in the city and the train and bus...

There is plenty to see in the city and the train and bus service are very good to take you to other parts of Italy. We did a day trip to Venice by train and a day to Sirmione in Lake Garda by bus. Food and drink are very reasonable in Verona but uber taxis are expensive.

interesting small city with everything within an easy walk. Taxi service poor but buses good. Great Roman ruins and a good museum. Piazzas are all lovely but the Del Signori is ace. If you are in to religious art then the Civitavechia is for you. Maffei Museum is good - although I am not in to modern art

Amazing city to visit.

Amazing city to visit. Everything in the historic area was within very easy walking distance. The city was so clean and felt very safe. We stayed for 2 nights but could easily had two more. We did a guided walking tour of Verona Arena and this was so useful to get a better understanding. We say the city Hop on / Hop off bus going around and although we didn't go on this it would be a great way if you haven't got time to get around and see the main attractions. Most of the museums and historic areas are very reasonably priced to enter. 3-8 euros each.

Dripping in history, the city was a photo opportunity at every turn. Food is a delight. Sitting nursing a drink people watching was so much fun. Search for restaurants open at 7pm better food. Avoid the the burger, kebab, indian, sushi go for local cuisines eat where the locals eat. You can walk everywhere... easy to get lost but google maps is such a help.

Staying here was truly the highlight of my trip in Italy. The room absolutely surpassed my wildest expectations. Huge room, incredibly comfortable bed, luxurious touches and generous includes snacks and drinks. Having private access to the balcony and courtyard after hours was so magical. The team were absolutely beautiful and very considered - the check in process was personable and kind and they are very communicative for any needs. I can’t recommend this hotel more and cannot wait to come back!!

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The location of hotel in a wide leafy street was perfect in terms of Verona train station ( 10 mins walk), old town( 10 mins walk) , airport 15 minutes by car or airlink bus ( only 7 euro each and at train station). Beds very comfortable and room big ( adult and two tall teens ), good selection at breakfast and lots of it.
