Check-in staff wasn't the most polite. Didn't get the room I booked, had to protest in order to get a suitable room. I had to be calling front desk for towels and toiletries each day. Sheets weren't changed daily.

Resort is really spacious and lots of different areas to explore whether you want something more relaxed or more lively. Lots of different options for food too - breakfast was in particular really good and enjoyed the seaside grill restaurant.
A couple of reviews mention unfriendly staff: we personally did not find this, all staff were very friendly and accommodating around the resort.

The friendliest most welcoming staff. Easy to mingle with other guests. Not to far from the airport and there is a grocery store and KFC within walking distance.
The bed was comfortable. Linens are provided, and there is an outlet beside each bed to charge your phone.
You have access to a full kitchen.
Plenty of shower and toilet stalls in the shared bathrooms.
There is a very friendly dog, and shy cat (never saw the cat).
It's in an historic building.

A great resort with good to great beaches, blame global warming for the loss of our beach front, they were all great when I was growing up. Most resorts or hotels including where I stayed offer trips to inner Jamaica, to see the waterfalls, rafting, eco spots etc. Tourism in Jamaica has been allowed to evolve in a way that excludes many local crafts people and vendors (who might sell you authentic Jerk chicken, or manish water or Irish Moss etc 😁 ). A pity because Jamaican's are quite charismatic and humorous. They do have a great Jerk joint just on the outskirts of the city centre. This should be a must on any visitors itinerary.

Montego Bay was alright but the taxi drivers spoiled it.
Montego Bay was alright but the taxi drivers spoiled it. Every interaction with them was a battle. Constantly demanding excessive fares in USD and making a big noise when you refuse. They make out that the place is very dangerous in order to own you and keep you to themselves. Then we realised there is Uber and everything improved. No haggling over prices. No need to carry a bundle of cash.

People were friendly, but at some point annoying because everyone wanted to sell weed or a taxi. beach was beautiful and clean. Starbucks nearby is nice. Also Frida for breakfast was a very nice place, food takes longer than expected everywhere. Jamaika itself is more expensive than we thought

Great location for fun.
Great location for fun. The hotel that you stay at sets the stage for the fun that you will have. I stayed at the RIU Montego Bay and the white party, the foam party, the pool parties were above my expectations of fun. Don't leave without trying the jerk chicken at the pork pit and the hip strip.

I always enjoy my stays at the Blue Orchid. When I booked this stay to host a sewing retreat the staff was very accommodating. We were comfortable and there were many outlets for our sewing machines. Any request we made was met expeditiously and with a smile. The proximity to the airport and downtown Montego Bay is very convenient!
The cottage is situated on a hill with a lovely view of Montego Bay. The accomodation was spacious and neat. The owners are friendly people, ready to help you where/ when needed. I recommend this stay if you’re looking for something serene and remote, away from the busy center.
This place was clean, everything worked fine, the view was amazing. The host was one of the nicest she helped us out to figure the location seamlessly. The host was also very ppl friendly I felt comfortable dealing with her. This is my new space once am visiting Montego Bay.
Location and beach was excellent and all inclusive package was worth the stay. Staffs were very good and loved the food and unlimited drinks! Overall an excellent experience
