Great location in a beautiful town with magnificent views of the mountains. Very kind and welcoming staff. Grateful for the private hot tub, was able to relax in peace and quiet with significant other. Great secure and private spaces with different temperatures, a bonus for those of us with tattoos.

The location was perfect, close to the ski resort, but still in an quiet and peaceful area. Beds were surprising comfortable, The bath tub was a great addition, it was perfect after a long day hitting the slopes. Parking was right next to the house and there was someone there during the day and at night to plow the snow. The room was very spacious.
When I first booked, I noticed that I needed to minus one day from our stay due to our early flight. I was unable to change it, and then I contacted the owner. They understood the situation and helped me rebook with the correct days. Great customer service! I even recommended them to our friend who also booked a room with them during the same trip after my experience with the owner.

Such a cute little inn with a beautiful view of the Hokkaido mountains! We stopped here to stay the night before exploring the area and it did not disappoint. The couple running the place was super sweet and helpful and the place was impeccably clean and comfortable. They even helped bring up our luggage via a luggage elevator. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and worth the stay alone! Please take note to follow the traditional Japanese rules of removing your shoes at the front and wearing the provided slippers.

The property is very quiet and calm, check-in was an absolute breeze, natural spring water in the tub was divine after a long day of skiing, and the room was very spacious which isn’t common in Japan.

We've been twice to Furano. It's a wonderfully friendly and relaxed resort. While it's not large by European or American standards, it features fabulously dry powder snow, and great restaurant options at the foot of the slopes and in the adjacent town. The fact that it is small also makes it easy to meet up with friends.

Furano was an interesting city town, with enough restaurants and markets to find whatever we might need. Both my huband and myself were not feeling well, so it was a good place to relax. All the people at the stores and eating establishments were always helpful and so very polite. There were some amazing views as Furano is surrounded by mountains. Having the ski resort nearby was a bonus.

Furano is good for beginner and intermediate skiing.
Furano is good for beginner and intermediate skiing. Less people on the slopes. Good for families with children learning to ski. Nut not challenging enough for advanced skiers
I understand it is beautiful in summer for its lavender fields and flowers

Small town at a distance away from the slopes.
Small town at a distance away from the slopes. The town itself is unremarkable though compact and well-equipped. Note that Furano has TWO ski zones, and the Kitanomine zone opens about a month later into the season. Public transport is infrequent, and difficult to get around by. Driving is strongly recommended unless you plan to just remain at the hotel next to the slopes.

The hotel was extremely beautiful and the hosts were superb. All of the tourist spots in the photos were easily accessible from the hotel and absolutely worthwhile. They included Tomita Farm, a nearby waterfall near Biei, Blue Pond near Biei, the park opposite the hotel Air Furano and the Furano shrine. Highly recommend.

Furnano town itself is dead in April.
Furnano town itself is dead in April. The only reason to go there are the cheese factory and wine factory. But distances between both are great. Unfortunately, the wine factory was closed at the time we went to Furano (mid-April). The cheese factory experience was great. After which we called a cab (local charges) to Ningle Terrace. This artist village is barely functioning in April -- very few shops were open. But there was one owned by a retired architect that made spinners that come back to you (cool).
Gitst: Spring is not the time to visit Furano. All the other seasons would be great. Example: flowers and fruit in the summer season.

A very clean, very well equipped 2 story apartment. After staying in Japans cosy hotel rooms for 4 weeks it was a pleasure to be able to spread out. Although the food in Japan is amazing the kitchen gave us the option of staying in and cooking a few meals ourselves. We could ski in to within 150 m from the front door and out was a 400m flat walk to the gondola. The reception was always accomodating and arranged lifts ( one way) into Furano or from the lock sights.
Staff are exceptional and recommend both the breakfast (Japanese style) and the onsen baths! Location is very convenient to station where we caught the Lavender bus to get up to the ski field without any difficulty. Being in town means there are a lot more choice come evening and where to eat. As there is not a drying room at the hotel, we left out skiis and boots up at Kitanomine on the mountain which was easier than lugging them back on the bus.
The breakfast spread was good. Excellent quality, delicious food. We liked the selection of Western and Japanese food, fresh fruits and juices. The beetroot smoothie was delicious! Mushroom porridge was very good too. And the sliced grilled pork was very good.
Nozo hotel is conveniently located near Furano town centre about 20min walk away. Convenient to take bus from nearby bus stop to Furano train station and other locations.
Fabulous roomy apartment. Basic kitchen condiments to start you off. Plenty supply of tissues, dishwasher tablets, and clothes detergent. Space in foyer to put skis, boots and jackets. Heating in foyer was not enough to warm up and dry our ski boots overnight but ok. Beautiful snow views out all of the windows. The office where we picked up the keys was helpful and friendly - great communication.
