The room was exactly like the pictures; cute, comfy, cozy, and very spacious. It was also quiet and we had a great night's sleep. The shower & bath room is also so much bigger than we expected and it's very clean. The lady of the house is so warm and welcoming. I'm sure it's not easy hosting two foreigners that can't speak Japanese, but she did an incredible job making us feel welcome and comfortable. My wife and I stayed here for one night during our honeymoon and this really ended up being a highlight of our trip. The husband spent a decade cooking abroad and brought that experience home with him. To say the food is exceptional is an understatement; breakfast and dinner were among the best meals we've ever had. Everything from the presentation, quality of ingredients, and execution of the cooking was perfect. The husband and wife duo are incredibly talented, and I'm so happy we got to experience their place. We will be thinking about this experience for a long time.

It was the perfect night! The room was huge and so beautiful, the dinner was just amazing the staff were so friendly and nice and the private onsen was the cherry on top. Loved every second!!!

This place is a rare gem! We stayed for only 3 nights, but we wished we could have stayed longer! Naoko is the warmest and most accommodating host! We loved her home, it was super comfortable and her food is amazing! Breakfast is included, both Japanese and Western breakfasts were delicious, and her dinners too! Every dish was a delight! Naoko really went above and beyond for us, and even made us bento box lunches to take with us. Our 6 year old son, had the best time! He became bestfriends with Naoko’s dog, Taro. They went for walks, played, fished for tadpoles and frogs together. We also became very acquainted with her chickens and rooster. This place is perfect for kids to run free and have fun! To get there, it’s best to rent a car. Kochi is so beautiful and worth a visit. For us, 3 nights wasn’t enough. We hope to have the chance to see Naoko, Taro and the chickens again!

Stay at the hotel for three days. The hotel was not big, more like a boutique hotel. But had all you could need. At the lobby, they offer complimentary beverage and sweets. And late at night, complimentary ramen. Staff were friendly and made everything they could. Although we have problem with the language, I didn't speak Japanese, nor did they speak English, but they did their best. At the room, we also had complimentary beverages. Our last day breakfast was Japanese breakfast and was very good. And at check out, they gave us a little bag which had rice crackers, that was very kind from them.

Location was prime but also peaceful and relaxing while being close to beautiful sights, shopping and easy to navigate. The room was beautiful, super spacious, clean and incredibly comfortable. The beds were great and we had a private in room onsen that was truly the highlight. Pajamas and yukata were provided in the room as well.

I like the size of the room, clean, delicious breakfast, great location.

Location was great, an easy walk to the trains, shops and restaurants. Our room was very large compared to others we have stayed at in Japan. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent spa and the service and location. Just that it is on slope so have to take taxi up for the luggage.

Great location just in the Gion area, with traditional style house/room and yet very modern and new facilities. Staff are very friendly. We liked it very much.
