I'd strongly recommend taking the time to ensure that the accommodation you're booking is close enough to any specific areas you wish to visit. Saga itself, is simply a township without too many attractions other than a museum, a castle and a couple of short, pretty walks. If you want to see something further afield, such as Arita or Imari (located in the Saga region), be prepared for quite a bit of travel. Even places to stay near these areas are several kilometers away.

We walked to the old part of Saga City and discovered the historic Nagasaki Highway or Sugar Road filled with special shops that families have run for generations, the cultural museum and tours of historic homes! There are also new businesses created by younger entrepreneurs so there’s a youthful feeling as well.

This is a hotel that is mostly accessible by car. Luckily there is free parking, and a parking space was available right in front of our room. The check-in was easy and the staff were very friendly. The room is about standard Japanese hotel room size and everything was clean, including the bathroom, no mold to be found.

Great location close to Saga station, huge room by Japanese standards with two separate queen beds. A projector(approx 70"!) instead of a flat screen. Nice view from the 7th floor. Nice sink & bathroom area. Keyless door that uses a pin code sent to your email address. Microwave in the room.

The rooms were bigger than stated in description, or it has good feng shui, because we could open two suitcases in the corridor, it had deep space there for keeping it. In other APA hotels I was, rooms were smaller

Great location, beautiful river views from the room and in front of the hotel; staffs are very friendly, polite and helpful; room is spacious and clean, beds are comfortable; Japanese’s restaurant serves delicious meals; free parking lots just outside the hotel main entrance.

It's very close to the train station. Almost everyone will be arriving there via bus or train. The town is pretty walkable/ bussable from this location. they give you two pillows.
Like most hotels, they are also willing to receive your luggage early.
