Location, cleanliness, having room separation between sleeping area and living room, laundry supplies. We loved our stay here! The hotel is located in a very cute and quiet neighborhood, and we enjoyed easy access to delicious bakeries, cafes, restaurants, and multiple parks. It's closer to Shin-Shizuoka Station which was also very handy for local transit. A little farther from the main Shizuoka station but still very walkable. Appreciate that they emailed us beforehand to let us know we could store luggage at their sister hotel nearby, which we utilized.

We were only looking for a cheap one-night stay, but this place far exceeded our expectations. For the price, the value is outstanding. We had a small tub, free bath powders from the hotel, complimentary drinks, plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the station is just a three-minute walk away. would definitely want to come stay again.

First of all, kudos to the staff who waited two hours for us to arrive the hotel. I had some issues with my phone and didn't get their message that their front desk closed at 7pm, and we ended up arriving at 9pm. The staff lady not only wasn't upset, she was super nice and we had a great chat with laughter. They did send us instructions of how to get into the room after the front desk was closed, but if we weren't able to check messages then it would have been a problem. We all appreciated her friendly and considerate service. The room was a beautiful surprise for us, as it's even nicer to see in person than the pictures. It was nicely designed and spacious. The room we got had both regular beds and tatami beds, and both were very comfortable. Even the coffee and tea they provided in the room were good quality ones. I love the concrete walls and the modern industrial clean interior design of the room. The location was also very convenient.

Shizuoka is a hidden gem.

Shizuoka is a hidden gem. You can stay here and get to many sightseeing destinations by rail (day trips) and come back to the relaxation of more laidback location. Locals are very pleasant and friendly, not so jaded by the over tourism of Kyoto and Osaka. We speak very limited Japanese, but were welcomed and managed in small local restaurants and Izakayas.

Shizuoka's shinkanesen train station is packed full of interesting shops and restaurants. We absolutely loved browsing as we waited for our train. Our visit in Shizuoka was much too short. I would have like to walk through the park (Sumpu) Walk through the city and explore more of the department stores. We got to see a local tea farm but it would have been great to visit more. We tried Sushiro which was really fun and delicious and better than most of the sushi restaurants in Montreal.

For those whose hobby is into plastic modelling, the city of Shizuoka is considered the model city of Japan. There is the annual Shizuoka hobby show that is held in the second week of May and is one of the biggest model show exhibitions in the world so hobbyist will not be disappointment.

We hated it. We felt unsafe, boxed in.

We hated it. We felt unsafe, boxed in. My friend is fluent in Japanese but even she was having trouble making the staff understand even small things. It’s a love hotel. Very disturbing. Sextoy magasine, prostitute magasine, locked doors that only open when you call and ask the staff to open the doors. Staff that didn’t understand. Making me pay for two rooms when giving us just one room.

Shizuoka city has the pleasant atmosphere of a sizable city with a country feel. I love Shizuoka and of course, that big mountain is always visible in the near vicinity when it's not hanging with its cloudy mates.

From a touristic perspective Shizuoka was just perfect for travelers who look for a more relaxing location. It was not full of tourists like you would expect seeing in Tokyo. But this also means that not everything is written or explained in english. Shizuoka is a perfect stay location when you want to visit locations like Nagoya, Hamamatsu, Mishima or similiar (so places you would usually pass with a shinkansen from Tokyo to Kyoto)

A very nice and clean hotel. Staff was really nice and helpful. They speak english and even if there was a language barrier, they were really engaged to help. The room was rather small, but that was absolutely no big deal for us. A really nice stay for 3 nights. The Hotel also had a public bath, which was really nice to relax. Though it was a little crowded in the evening, so we had to wait a few minutes to clean us before entering the bath, but yet again, absolutely no big deal at all!! Shizuoka Station is 5-10 Minute walk away.

The hotel is conveniently located about 10 minutes from Shizuoka Station, with plenty of great restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly, and there were bilingual English- and Japanese-speaking team members at the reception, which was very helpful. My room was clean and quiet, providing a comfortable stay. I especially enjoyed the breakfast prepared by the Japanese ladies—it reminded me of the traditional homemade meals my mother used to make. Overall, a warm and pleasant experience. I would happily stay here again.

My room was spacious and very comfortable, making for a great stay. I also appreciated the Business Hotel perks, such as complimentary coffee and beverages. The hotel is just a short bus ride from Shizuoka Station, and free onsite parking is available—perfect if you're planning to rent a car (which I highly recommend to fully explore the area). The staff were exceptionally friendly and always helpful whenever I had questions.

The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable! The amenities were fantastic with great quality. The room was furnished with a big screen LED TV, very good for watching movies. The bathroom were fabulous and exceeded my expectation. Wi-Fi strength and speed was great. Hotel location is right in front of Shin-Shizuoka station and really near to the Aoba symbol shopping district. (<5 minutes walk)
