Located in Tokyo, 200 metres from NTT Docomo History Square, APA Hotel & Resort Ryogoku Eki Tower provides accommodation with a fitness centre, private parking, a garden and a restaurant.

Very central and for sumo lovers near the sumo ring. Great Onsen (spa), perfect after a long day! Efficient personnel. We had no issue but be aware that with big luggage in a standard room it might get a bit tight.

Conveniently situated within a 3-minute walk from Shinbashi and Shiodome stations, The Royal Park Iconic Tokyo Shiodome is modern and stylish accommodation.

That’s a very good place located right to the Ginza street. Its location is so comfortable so you can easily reach many sightseeing places like the Tokyo TV tower or Ginza. There are many places including Starbucks right to the hotel. There is as well a unique clock tower designed by hayao miyazaki just in front of it. We tried also a dinner at the hotel restaurant - it was an excellent start of our Tokyo adventure. Its not cheap but it’s worth it. I also used a service to send my luggage to another hotel in Osaka with a kind help of the hotel staff. It was very quick, friendly and very affordable for a heavy one. Finally the room remained clean every day and the staff on general was polite kind and friendly. I read some reviews that some train noice can be heard from the hotel as there is a metro station nearby but honestly it did not cause any inconvenience for us.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Nishi-Shinjuku in Tokyo features 4-star accommodation with a shared lounge.

It was a pleasure staying at this hotel. The location is just perfect. It is at a quieter part of Shinjuku 15-20 minutes walk from the busy Shinjuku center and main station. The hotel has a 24/7 seven eleven store on the basement, which is very convenient. The staff was very friendly and professional. I particularly loved the huge selection of toiletries and foot masks. The breakfast was nice with a lot of options. We visited their restaurant on our last day for dinner and it was excellent.

Opened in August 2014, this hotel is located just a 3-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station, offering direct access to Harajuku, Shibuya and Akihabara areas, all within a 20-minute train ride.

We chose this hotel primarily for its location to Shinjuku station. It’s an easy walk (even laden with luggage) and close to many attractions. The hotel is modern, exceptionally clean, with good facilities. Breakfast was limited but lovely.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

Tokyo is a wonderful city with so much to see.

Tokyo is a wonderful city with so much to see. We were only able to hit the high points in the 5 days we were there. Fantastic sights, shopping and food. But very crowded. We used the rail system to get around. It was generally very easy to navigate and get to your destination. Sky Tree was great as was a baseball game at the Tokyo Dome.

Japan is an incredible destination with a rich blend of tradition and modernity, offering everything from ancient temples to cutting-edge technology. However, with the current surge in tourism, popular spots can feel overwhelming, making it harder to fully appreciate the country's beauty and culture. For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, it might be worth waiting until the hype settles down. Alternatively, exploring lesser-known regions beyond the usual hotspots.

Tokyo has truly stolen a piece of my heart.

Tokyo has truly stolen a piece of my heart. I’ve been fortunate to visit three times, and each experience has been nothing short of amazing. The city is a perfect blend of tradition and innovation, with a culture that’s rich, respectful, and deeply inspiring. From the hospitality of the people to the vibrant food scene and impeccable attention to detail in every corner, Tokyo continues to captivate me. I’m endlessly drawn to its energy, beauty, and grace—Japan is a place I will always return to with love and admiration.

Amazing city, so much to see and do, is great for couples, friends and families. The food is great, coffeeshop and restaurant are spot on. Besides that, the calmness and beautiful gardens, omg. I loved to just walk around, go to the tiny streets and get surprised. I dont recommend buy souvenirs on Don Quijote, I found much better prices in small shops around the city (Tokyo Tower, Ueno, et).

    What a city!

What a city! On our trip to Japan, we travelled in and out of Tokyo, with a few nights in the city at either end. And they just weren't enough. There is way too much to see and do and absorb. Take money, comfortable shoes and plenty of space in your luggage!

The Gracery hotel is ideally located for catching the limousine bus from the airport as it drops you off just across the square from the hotel, therefore making it much cheaper than a taxi or trying to navigate trains on your first journey to Japan. The hotel is very welcoming and the staff very professional. I had a room with twin beds which was very spacious with all the amenities I could ask for as well as a superb view. It’s a great location for Shinjuku and Shibuya which is only 2 stops away on the underground.
