Very nice place. Lovely staff and next to a river and many sights and shopping all within walking distance. We got the onsen room and it was fabulous. Robes for the onsen were great and the breakfasts was Japanese and very good. Beds were very comfortable. They let us go in an hour early which was nice. A cute gift shop with good prices in the lobby. We had to leave at 5:00 am for our flight but we Uber’s it and someone was in the lobby to see us off that early. Would definitely recommend. Also has coffee. Water and green tea in the room very convenient

super clean and comfortable. the location was a short easy walk from uji station and the main walking street. the kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need including multiple jars of loose leaf tea!

We stayed here to experience a traditional Japanese hotel. It met our expectations in that regard. If you are looking to explore Kyoto it’s a bit out of the way but totally doable. There is a train station within 7min walk that can get you to central Kyoto.

location was great, room was larger than normal. Bathroom was great with excellent hot water and pressure. The AC was just ok. it kept room from getting hot, but didn't quit keep it cool. overall, great stay and value!
