Diyaluma View Cottage is the perfect getaway for a couple or a small family. The cabin faces directly toward Diyaluma Falls, and you can simply sit outside and enjoy the breathtaking view all day. The food was delicious, lovingly prepared by the owner Upali’s wife. Upali himself takes care of everything you need. He took us on the Upper Diyaluma hike early in the morning, brought a fresh breakfast for us to enjoy at the top, and later drove us safely back to the cabin in his tuk tuk. In the afternoon, Upali and his wife went to the nearby town for groceries and kindly took us along, showing us around like family. We had a truly wonderful experience here. Highly recommended to anyone visiting the area. This place is a real hidden gem!

The stay has all the basic facilities needed for a good comfortable stay. It's like a mini safari from the window and sitting area outside the house. I saw many peacocks running around and dancing many times a day, also monitor lizards peacefully walking by. Many monkeys and buffaloes chilling in the stream in front. Also some birds like blue kingfisher, brown capped babbler birds, parrots etc. The location of the house is great as it's very near to the juice shop, bakeries, restaurants, wine shop and bus stand. Very nice house and hosts. Highly recommend this place.

Thomasha was so nice! He offered to get us dinner when we arrived late and surprised us by washing our tuk-tuk! Very comfortable place to stay if you are in Wellawaya.

A wonderful and magical experience, we stayed at the forest pavilion, and being close to nature and in a beautiful and comfortable "room" was truly amazing. The room itself was great, the bed comfortable, there was even wifi which I didn't expect. The food was great, and was very reasonably priced. The grounds are beautiful, there's a waterfall on the property which you can hike to, and the pool area is amazing. Will recommend and happily stay again!
