Absolutely great riad in Essaouira old town. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Personnel is very friendly and ready to help you with everything. Rooms are good - and there is a door between the room and the bathroom (unlike in Marrakesh riads)! Breakfast is Moroccan-style, but good.

My wife and I were on a road trip discovering Morocco, and we decided to book the place for one night. We got an upgrade and enjoyed a lovely 24 hours at this property. It was a perfect stop.

Great stay in this hostel in Essaouira! The vibe was warm and welcoming, and I really loved the kitchen clean, well-equipped, and perfect for making my own tagine and tea. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. I definitely recommend it

This place is in a great location, right next to the beach and Medina. It’s not noisy at all, and the balcony has a great view.

Honestly, I don't think this hotel could have gotten any better, it's right on the beach, it was only an 8 min walk from the bus stop from Marrakech, about an 8 min walk to restaurants, and 10 mins from the medina. We were so fortunate to get upgraded to an ocean view room and we absolutely loved it and spent so much time on the balcony and enjoyed a few sunsets out there too. The wifi was good, the room was clean, the breakfast that was included was a great spread with a fresh omelette station, and bed's were comfy, what else could you ask for?!

My stay at Riad Rafeef was truly amazing. I had the privilege of being welcomed by the owner, Loubna, who is incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. I arrived before check-in, and she welcomed me with Moroccan tea and pastries before giving me a lovely tour of the riad. My room was called Sakina, meaning serenity and inner peace, which perfectly matched the purpose of my trip. The room was beautiful, peaceful, spotless, and full of thoughtful details reflecting Moroccan heritage. Breakfast was delicious and personalized, and the entire staff was very kind and helpful. I especially appreciated the thoughtful evening service and the little gestures that made me feel at home. The location is also perfect: right in the heart of the Medina, close to cafés and restaurants, and just a short walk from the beach. I recommend Riad Rafeef 100%. It will definitely be my place to stay whenever I visit Essaouira again.

The managers Anne and Philippe were wonderful, freindly and attentive. We were given a spacious suite with wide open views in every direction over beautifully maintained grounds. The bedroom had a comfortable queen bed and double closet, and there was a majestic working fireplace in the living room. We had access to not one but two private balconies with wraparound seating and a BBQ pit on one of them!. The common dining area is adjacent to an enormous swimming pool which is great for both lap swimming and for children to play in a wide shallow area. The kitchen prepares a good breakfast and the kitchen menu selections are also good and reasonably priced for lunch and dinner. It's a bit off the beaten path but personally, I loved that. 15 mins drive to Essaouira (where public parking at the port is easy and dirt cheap)

Nice and cozy room, locate within the Medina, but off the main market street: so quiet. Clean and the hots is accommodating.

The two girls at the reception were very nice and gave us a warm welcome. The night guy was also very gentle and helped us a lot. The rooms were spacious and neat. Very clean riad. Go with your eyes closed.

Great location, stayed at the end of my three week vacation and the nice consistently hot showers hit the spot. The man working the front desk was incredibly helpful, very kind, and made my stay easy and welcoming.
