Budva was a shock after the beautiful quiet villages of Kotor, Dobrota and Perast. We were very disappointed with the huge developments being built along the beach, turning the town into an ugly & cheap looking resort for mass tourism. The Hemingway bar and the Hermitage hotel were exceptions!

Budva is an interesting city.
Budva is an interesting city. The Old Town is good and particuarly rate the Citadel. Less crowded than Kotor as fewer toutist groups. The main beach resort is fine and an alternative to the Old Town. We did have one poor meal in the beach area, suggest that Old Town is better area for eating. Bus station is about 15 minutes walk inland. It is about 30 minutes drive to Cetinje (taxi to Cetinje cheaper than taxi to Kotor). Note there are major road improvements between Budva and Kotor - bear this in mind if moving between the two,

Budva is a very interesting city.
Budva is a very interesting city. Its essentially a new city within a new country of Montenegro. It has the potential to be a future hot spot in Eastern Europe. The infrastructure and airport is a bit rough...but well within reach of being wonderful - in fact the construction project are underway. After speaking with the President of Montenegro, he is steadfast to make Montenegro the place to be. It just takes time.
I will return one day in the future.

Budva is a stunning, hidden gem!
Budva is a stunning, hidden gem! Our favorite beach was Sveti Stefan and we also loved eating and drinking in old town and along the promenade. We wished we had time to take a boat tour and visit the Hawaii island and also wished we had done a guided city tour to learn the history of Budva and Montenegro. The Citadel was stunning!!

Budva is ruined by unregulated construction.
Budva is ruined by unregulated construction. The only nice part is the old town. The rest is an ugly, dirty urban jungle with no pavements and stinking garbage. Worth a day's visit out of holiday season.

If you’re looking for a clean hotel where you can sleep after a long day of activities Montenegro can provide then this place is perfect for you. The cost to quality ratio is good, cleanliness, very lovely receptionist and the localization.
It’s perfectly located, separated from the rest of the other hotels or villas. It has a very large space, 4 exterior pools. The food was excellent. A lot of variety and always fresh fish and seafood.
It’s the best resort in Montenegro.
Best hotel so far in Montenegro. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms, the seaside at walking distance.
We had a great time and enjoyed the kindness and hospitality of the staff, thanks especially to Mr “Eagle” :)
Perfect hotel in any aspect, the location with hotel's beach and great beach bar Galija, facilities overall, very helpful staff. This is one of my favorite hotels in Montenegro.
