MexicoThe room is clean and big , it has every thing you need. The parking lot is big and comfortable. But the break fast is not good enough , the food is ok , no many choices . I got sick when I arrived and asked for plate of rice they didn’t have so I ask for a caldo de pollo … surprise it has rice . Then I ask for olive oil and they didn’t olive oil . So the kitchen is not good , the service is great .

Make sure you have an agenda, and get someone to drive you...
Make sure you have an agenda, and get someone to drive you around, preferably the same person. We had Senor Ruben, the taxi driver, drove us to and from everywhere we visited, felt safe and comfortable with him, he showed us all the landmarks, and was pretty much our "tour guide" and was very convenience not having to call for an Uber every time. We just called him whenever we were ready. He even drove us to the airport when we left. I will keep his number if we decide to return to Guadalajara.

We move from Florida to Guadalajara in 1995 and it was great. In 2026 Guadalajara is an absolute mess with unreal traffic peoblems and terrible infastructure. We would never live in Guadalajara for any reason. Mazatlan is far superior in evey way as we have live there for 22 years. We will never drive our vehicle on the terrible roads all over Guadalajara.

Great city full of gorgeous flowering trees, lime trees...
Great city full of gorgeous flowering trees, lime trees along sidewalks, great climate, even in rainy season, & welcoming residents. Many great & unique places to explore within range like Tlaquepaque (Méxican versión of an old Greenwich Village full of arts, handicrafts, & musicians), the active archeological site of circular step pyramids & museum of Guachimontones. A city center full of beautiful historical architecture such as the Gothic Church, & the ornate theater. The Bascilica, the cultural Huichol museum & many nearby fun towns such as Tequila & the mountain town of Tapalpa. Hot springs; lush forrests & great exploring/hiking to do in the Barrancas (sometimes referred to as the Méxican Grand Canyon). Easy & cheap public transportation!

I stayed in Guadalajara because I missed my connection...
I stayed in Guadalajara because I missed my connection flight due to the airport closing due to bad wheather. I didn't get to go anywhere, so I really don't have anything good or bad to say about the City.

Clean and very secure city; we never felt in danger, even walking through dark streets at night—beautiful and friendly city. Calle y Número is a few meters from the Tren Ligero (subway System). People are very friendly and always ask you if you need help. Do NOT hesitate to plan your vacations in this beautiful city, and always look for cultural events. Try to avoid the rainy season, as it could become a nightmare. Lots of floods.

Super hostel in the perfect location for exploring Guadalajara Centro. The staff and volunteers are amazing - always available, super friendly and fun. The hostel is really clean, with hot showers, plenty bathrooms and a big kitchen, living room and terrace. Also the dorm beds and pillows are sooo comfy! Had a wonderful stay here for several days.

Great big room and bathroom, great and helpful employees, breakfast was delicious. I would def recommend this hotel and come back here if inl would visit guadalajara again. The massage at Morrocco spa was great and hair salon as well. Theu also had a nice terrace
