I had my wallet stolen on the bus to Merida, and lots of fraudulent charges were made and they helped connect to the police who brought us to the right place to make the theft report I need for the bank. They also had great food recommendations.
Location is fantastic, and the pool up top is such a nice lookout point.

We trained there which is a great way to travel (Tren Maya is beautiful) but it seems they make transportation from the train stations difficult by design. It's actually quite ridiculous. We waited for over an hour for the bus and still didn't have an option into the historical area of Merida, which I'd imagine most tourists would be visiting.
The town itself has a ton to see and do - highly recommend visiting - 2 nights, 3 days is perfect!

This is the beauty of Mexico: cultural events every night of the year and a lower crime rate than Idaho
Al pastor tacos on the south side of Mercado Galvez, Lechon tacos at Lupitas in Santiago park, amazing italian at Tratto in Santa Lucia, and elote ice cream on the Soutwest corner of the Zocalo.

Charming centre in deceptively large city. Great modern airport and good access to Yucatan sights.
Mundo Maya museum a must visit. Great restaurant choice in Calle 47 - corridor gastronomica. Better to stay nearer here and Paseo Montejo than close to Plaza Principal, which is worth a visit but less sophisticated round about.

Mérida is a great city, it's the cultural hub of the SE Mexican region. It's up to the visitor to get into all it has to offer and eventually it could easily be necessary to return for there's always so much more and so little time

we were able to go to the beach which was about 45 minutes away but worth the travel. all the restaurant were child friendly with very good food.

I feel honored that I met these two people in my travel to Mexico. They made the Merida experience even more special for us. Both Catrina and Diego are marvelous hosts, we had great time together in the breakfast hours, the facility was clean and with a lot of history, close to the city center. She cooked for us and we had great time. It was actually very emotional the whole experience. Diego and Catrina muchas gracias por todos!! (los griegos)

Big comfortable room with everything you needed - first room in Mexico in fact to have air con which was nice surprise. Friendly staff who got room ready ahead of 3pm check in for us and helped with Amazon parcel delivery. Well equipped kitchen and nice surprise of free coffee and bread in morning.

The building and the common areas are beautiful.
Breakfast was great - there was fresh fruits, mysli, pastries, bread and each day different warm dish.
There was hot water available in the showers which was great as we found this not always be the case in mexico.
