Nice hotel close to the airport, we were just travelling through Mexico City so did not spend alot of time there. The room was clean and very comfortable, they provided tea, coffee and cookies at a station on each floor, which I thought was a lovely touch. We caught the shuttle both ways, they have a small booth in Terminal 1 where you can wait, which was very handy.

FAQs about hotels in Mexico City

Aztec Capital and Vibrant Metropolis

As one of the biggest cities in the world, Mexico City could be better described as an experience than a city. Founded in 1325 by the Aztecs as Tenochtitlan, it was both destroyed and rebuilt by the Spanish in the 16th century. Nowadays, it is the capital of the United Mexican States and its most important economic and cultural center.

The city center’s cornerstone is the famous Plaza de la Constitución, commonly called Zócalo. It's surrounded by the presidential Palacio Nacional and the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral.

The Avenida de la Reforma was built under the brief rule of Archduke Ferdinand Maximilian of Austria, while the deposed president Porfirio Díaz left a characteristic fusion of French-Mexican architecture. The 1960s saw a demographic explosion that only now is starting to be completely absorbed.

From the Chapultepec Parks and the chic Polanco, to the gay area of Zona Rosa and the Bohemian and intellectual Coyoacán: let Mexico City tell you its thousand secrets and stories.

Most of the hotels are located around the Reforma area, the Insurgentes Avenue and the Zócalo. If you’re looking for 5-star hotels in Mexico City, the modern Santa Fe area has a recently redeveloped business sector.

The City was vibrant with sellers on the streets and in the markets. I liked seeing all the beautiful, artistic murals on the walls of public buildings and spaces - outstanding graphic designs! Friendly people, ready to help you with getting around, especially if your Spanish is not fluent. The restaurant at Flamencos Hotel was a good eating spot with delicious food at reasonable prices. Meals in the nearby market - Mexico Centro, were also tasty and inexpensive. One of the easiest ways to get around is by Uber - safe, convenient and costs less than taxi. A place to visit, for an entire day's trip, is Chapultepec Park also known as Bosque de Chapultepec. It is said to be one of the world's largest city parks and it is closely linked to several key events in Mexican history. You can enjoy a boat ride while you are there. For Starbucks lovers, there is one located at the park. Another must see is San Juan Teotihuacan. This place boasts the largest pyramid in the world. Go for a climb if you are physically fit and brave. There are several great restaurants to choose from and for souvenirs and gifts, you can get these from any of the many vendors at the location. Please negotiate the price to get value for money. The Casa Azul or Museum of Frida Kahlo, is another spot worth visiting if you are interested in art. The house was the home of the late artist Frida Kahlo and it celebrates her life work and history. Mexico City was worth the 4-day visit and I will do it again for a longer stay, because there is so much to explore. I highly recommend the City as a great tourist destination.

Mexico City is one of the largest cities of the World but also very developed city with plenty of sight seeings, culture, historical places, museums and thing to do. Touristic places are so much and for almost any wish and person. For a family Chapultepec is very recommended including Zoo, Castle and Anthropology Museum, also Reforma Avenue and all its nearby suburbs. Coyoacan, Xochimilco, City Historical Center, University City and many others are very nice for the tourist and also safe places when comparing to other big cities in the world.

Besides the smog and traffic, Mexico City is an urban paradise of good dining, great museums, architecture, art galleries, interesting stores, colorful street food and vendors on the sidewalks. There are many beautiful buildings, ruins, statues, and water fountains dating back centuries that are all over the city. There are beautiful courtyards and plazas with mariachi music and lively families having fun together. The dining is incredible with a variety of different types of tacos . I love the pickled vegetables used as toppings, varieties of corn and different mole sauces.

Huge city with so much to do a long week won't be enough.

Huge city with so much to do a long week won't be enough. I recommend La Condesa for a relaxed, cooler (lots of tree cover), quieter neighborhood; Polanco for a hip, slightly more affluent dining and shopping area; Coyoacan for the artsy tourism; the Historic District for the city-center bustle, museums; and of course Chapultepec park, which makes a mockery out of NYC's Central Park. Use Uber to get around, but be aware of weekday traffic. There are more museums than you'll have time for, but the National Museum of Anthropology is a must. If you're interested in history, learning, archeology, or anthropology, this is the place. Entry costs a measly $5 for at least a four-hour visit, from our experience. If you want to go to Lucha Libre, go on Friday. It costs a little more, but the crowd will be better, the fighters likely better, and the atmosphere more involving. Sitting in the sections nearer the ring felt like an almost-equal mix of local regulars and American tourists. The area around Arena Mexico isn't the nicest, but with thousands of people leaving the stadium, it's not uncomfortable to walk a block to hail an Uber on a less-congested street. Final tip: don't be cowardly with food; there are a ton of plants and mushrooms you may have never eaten and won't find anywhere else. Try them, they're worth it.

This hotel was perfect for our 5 day trip exploring Mexico city. The hotel was modern and well priced. We opted for the cheapest room which was fairly small but the room was very comfortable with comfortable bed, air conditioning, a fridge and a good shower. The smart TV was huge and the WiFi worked well. The buffet breakfast was good and had a wide selection. The location was great, next to the metro and a short walk to the cathedral square. Staff were helpful and attentive.

Location is amazing, near reforma, city centre and 10 min drive to Roma and Condesa and you also have a pharmacy and convenient store near by. Room was modern and size was fine, bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was good for the price but don´t expect too much, however, near the hotel there are many places to eat for cheap.
