I am a regular before the MCO.
I am a regular before the MCO. This trip is my first visit and after that will be on monthly basis. I love the foods here but since MCO, Many Businesses closed down but some still survived. Some new outlets and will take time to explore all this in this few months. I will always support the local businesses and spend my money locally indirectly helping to boost the local economy. Let hope every breadwinners will be able to put foods on the table for their family. It is time to move on and work hard after the pandemic. Tawau is a rather quiet city with bright beginnings and future. Ethnicities shine brightly in such a delightful small town. Tawau will grow because of its unexplored beauty of sun, sea, and shore. Tawau is also famous as a fishing ground in the Sulu and Sulawesi Seas. The fish market in the Tawau is a real eye-opener with different species for sale - whether legal or not legal. Small size hammerhead, bull sharks, different species of stingrays and barracudas are all in the fish market. The Sabah state government should encourage a fishing canning economy in Sabah to avail employment opportunities for my countrymen. Nevertheless, once Covid-19 is over, this place will be swamped by tourists from East Asia and Malaysia.
