Very nice boutique hotel located in the former train station at the edge of Abcoude. Beautiful rural surroundings (if you do not mind smell of cow farm!), very peaceful and quiet. Spacious well equipped room. Very good on-site restaurant. Center of Abcoude with few nice restaurants is just 5 minutes' walk away. Special thanks for making arrangements for late night self-check-in. Will be back soon.

The room had 4 walls and a ceiling, there was a bed in the middle. There was also a bathroom with a sink and a shower. I suppose that is it?

Small village with everything you need in it , couple of supermarkets, restaurants, butcher , tobacco shop, chemist, bakery etcOllie’s coffee do fantastic toasties and Koekienbier restaurant/pub has a wonderful welcoming atmosphere.
The village public transport service is very good with buses and a train station that runs trains into Amsterdam every 15-20 minutes or so. The people are very nice and friendly and everyone seems to be speaking English very well so no communication issues for us at all.
From what we could see it is a farming village and we did notice there is a lingering smell of what we think it’s manure especially on the outskirts of the village, we visited in February at 3 degree, I assume in the summer might be even stronger.

Lots of small local shops for food, drink, etc. Pastries nearby delightful, coffee shops short walk away, Thursday market across the road for fruit, veg, cheese, meat, etc.
Host showed where to safely park our car for the duration, very safe.

The flat is beautiful, well equipped and nicely decorated.
The flat is beautiful, well equipped and nicely decorated. The quiet country setting is a welcome rest from the chaos of Amsterdam. There is plenty of free parking and the WiFi worked without issues.
Getting something to eat is only a 6-8 minute drive to Weesp. If you plan to go to Amsterdam drive the 5 minutes to the Park and Ride lot and board the subway for the 25 minute ride to downtown.

We've stayed here on a number of occasions. Car is essential. It is a great location for visiting Amsterdam (via the train or underground - about 10 mins drive away). We like being in the countryside and the accomodation itself is fine for self-catering. Good value for money.
Really great apartment. Nice, charming, clean, comfortable with a spacious terrace. Fully equipped kitchen. You can find here everything you need for a perfect stay. Great bed and pillows. Easy way to get to Amsterdam by train. I am picky, but this one is really perfect.
The hotel is very pleasant and the room we stayed in was big and clean. We also enjoyed the calm view from our room and the fact that we were 10min away from the train station that goes to the center of Amsterdam in few minutes.
Such a lovely rural location and yet easy to get into Amsterdam. Second time we have been -it's a great place to stay.
Owner very forgiving when we lost our key.
Great local walk / bike ride possibilities.
