THIS IS A REAL PLANE.We could have imagined that this B&B would be unique. But we didn't expect it to have the same level of facilities and comfort as a luxury hotel room.They even have a sauna on board.The host couple were very welcoming. The apple pie made by the hostess was a heavenly delicacy.

What a wonderful place to stay. For once, we never slept in a church so that was special on it's own but everything from the common rooms to our room was curated with so much style, love and attention to detail and still it felt like a warm hug coming in. I really want to come back, I felt to relaxed and well taken care of. Thank you!

This was honestly one of the best stays we’ve had, and definitely an experience we would love to repeat again. The combination of beautiful accommodation, stunning natural surroundings, amazing food, and truly warm hospitality is something very hard to find all together in one place at such a high level. Leah from the front office, along with the rest of the team, were incredibly kind and welcoming and really made our stay special. Usually, I visit a place once and move on to somewhere new, but this is one of the few places that genuinely made me want to come back again. Another thing we appreciated was how easy and stress-free the trip from the airport was — no difficult roads or long hassle to reach the property. They also gave us two mountain bikes to explore the area, and they didn’t even mention any extra charge for it. It really felt like they just wanted us to enjoy our time there. We also appreciated how thoughtful the staff were regarding food preferences and allergies. As Muslims, we don’t eat pork, and this was already taken into consideration during breakfast without us needing to remind them again. Speaking of breakfast, it was a very different experience from the usual buffet style. Instead, different dishes were freshly served to us without a menu, which we actually loved. It felt more personal, and we also liked the idea of reducing unnecessary food waste that often happens with large hotel buffets. Most importantly, the breakfast itself was absolutely delicious. Thank you again to the whole team for such a memorable stay. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to friends and family.

One of my all time favorite hotels. From the front desk service to the comfort of the bed/room, to the shower, to breakfast, and to the food and service in the restaurant, this is one exemplary hotel!!

Overall great place and location

Everything! The staff was warm and welcoming. We were able to arrive late with ease, after the reception had closed. In the morning we were given a short tour/overview of the hotel and its set up. Next time we will enjoy the hotel’s breakfast! For us the location was perfect. We brought our bikes and within a 10 min pedal we found the charming village of Arcen. A very short pedestrian /bike ferry (about 1 euro per person one way) transported us, where the bike path ends at the river, going back and forth every couple of minutes. We enjoyed a tasty lunch and ice cream in front of the ferry drop in the town, visited the Arcen Castle with amazing gardens. Landhuis Hotel de Hilkensberg had some very clear and helpful loop routes mapped out in the hotel welcome book as well as distances by car and bike to area towns/restaurants/activities. We found the hotel at the last minute and this made planning our short one day visit easy to plan. The good sized room was modern and tastefully decorated w/ nature in mind. The bed was comfortable. We were able to walk out our bottom floor room to a patio. Luggage can be brought in w/ a short walk from the parking lot avoiding stairs. The park like grounds are breathtaking, including a large natural looking pond pool. There are beautiful places to sit, lounge, relax enjoying a book, a drink, foods from the hotel or items brought by guests. We enjoyed the fire pit roasting marshmallows (even though we arrived after 10 pm. The outdoor commons buildings /spaces are like something out of a magazine. We enjoyed a walk of the grounds enjoying the ponds with koi, shaded walkways and grassy lawn and visiting the alpacas and sheep. Had we stayed longer we would have enjoyed the well designed architectural sauna which blends in with the landscape so well. We will share the hotel experience we have with friends and would love to return with friends and family. In addition, the staff was warm and welcoming!
