We loved staying in an old cellar next to the canal. We were in the best neighborhood, right by the tower and lots of restaurants and shops. Super-cute. The room had a small kitchenette so we could have tea in the morning. Very nice place.

Absolutely picturesque town.

Absolutely picturesque town. So many options for delicious food and shopping. Gorgeous historic gardens tucked away near the Cathedral. Not too crowded for a summer weekend but always lively. Several options to explore the waterways (kayak, paddle boat, guided boat tour). Favourite Netherlands location I have thus far experienced.

We loved Utrecht.

We loved Utrecht. It had all the charm of Amsterdam without all of the chaos. Typically we would spend a day in Amsterdam and the next day in Utrecht. We enjoyed our days in Utrecht a bid more. Utrecht is only about 35 minutes from Amsterdam the trains are frequent without having to change. Utrecht is full of charming places to dine or grab a cold beverage. The canal system is not quite as extensive but our hour long tour was perfect.

I love Utrecht, such a pretty city with loads to offer. It's something of a rabbit warren where you'll discover more and more as you explore. It's also a great place to stay as a base if you want to explore NL as it's practically in the middle of everything.

We liked Utrecht very much — it is a beautiful, lively, and very pleasant city, with a calmer atmosphere than Amsterdam, but still with plenty of restaurants, shops, and interesting places to walk around. We were especially impressed by the two-level canals with restaurants and cafés by the water, as well as by the feeling that everything important is within easy walking distance. Museum Speelklok also made a very strong impression on us — the museum of musical boxes and mechanical musical instruments. For the first time, we saw the large mechanical “dance organs” that were once used in ballrooms and dance halls, and the demonstrations were truly interesting and memorable. Utrecht is very suitable both for a short stay and as a convenient base for trips to other places in the Netherlands.

Clean, comfortable room in the hotel for me and two grandchildren, who particularly liked the free sweets in the lobby. Excellent breakfast. Utrecht had lots to offer for a short stay . We enjoyed the Domunder tour.

I loved Utrecht!

I loved Utrecht! I was there for work, but stayed some extra days to experience the Netherlands. Amsterdam was great, but I preferred my time in Utrecht because it was a very similar experience (all the canals and history) but a lot less crowded. And it was just a short train ride from Amsterdam and many other places.

The hotel is located in a historic house in the Museum neighbourhood of Utrecht, the southern part of the old city centre. Rooms are nicely decorated in traditional Dutch style with high ceilings and big windows. Breakfast is served directly in the room. The hotel has a nice view on the main canal in Utrecht and it is at walking distance from all attractions. There is also a parking not far from the hotel if you are coming by car.

Nice hotel, with a great location; right next to Utrecht Centraal Station and Hoog Catharijne shipping centre. App check-in/out and the digital key support is great! You can check in remotely and then proceed right to your room. The rooms are nice enough, clean and everything worked. Internet is available and TVs have Chromecasts, so you can stream your phone over to it. The staff were nice and friendly.
