The hotel’s location was excellent. Close to the city center and within easy walking distance of the metro. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering everything needed for a pleasant stay. Breakfast had a good variety of fresh options each morning. I also really liked the gym; it was well-equipped and convenient to use during my stay. Overall, a very enjoyable and comfortable experience.

FAQs about hotels in Oslo

Into the Wild in Oslo

Spreading for hundreds of miles from the mouth of the Oslofjord, Oslo is the largest city by area in Europe and is liberally covered in pristine forests rising up into the outlying hills. South of the unassuming city hall lies a vibrant waterfront known as Aker Brygge, which in summer is full of bustling outdoor restaurants and bars.

For the prettiest buildings head to affluent inner-city suburbs of Frogner and Fagerborg, or admire the traditional Scandinavian wooden houses of Bygdøy and Holmenkollen. Monumental buildings include the Royal Palace which runs daily tours and the Akershus Festning, which is a medieval castle that also served as a military base and provides impressive views of the Oslofjord. Oslo City Hall, or rådhus, offers even more distinctive architecture and it is the location of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.

Nature is never far away in Oslo which is ringed by an archipelago of islands which are extremely popular in summer. Hiking, kayaking and sailing are all easily achievable within the city limits. Just as popular are the many museums. The national Museum houses Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream and Viking Ship Museum containing long-lost relics from Norway’s Viking past.

From downtown Sentrum to the Oslo Airport Gardermoen to the stunning statues in Frogner Park, Booking.com has over 80 hotels and other accommodations available.

Good museums to visit. Friendly and helpful people.

Good museums to visit. Friendly and helpful people. Downside was the weather which was poor and unpredictable. (It is what it is). Also very expensive. But overall a nice city to visit. Would probably not go again unless I could guarantee no very heavy rain.

A fascinating city, even in March.

A fascinating city, even in March. The Munch gallery incredible and the highlight for us. But walking around, even in the cold wind, was interesting and easy. Loved the opera house viewing platform too, almost got blown away 😂

Beautiful city with a great number of cultural experiences...

Beautiful city with a great number of cultural experiences available. The architecture is a great mix of classical, baroque and tasteful modern. Lovely gardens abound. Public transport is amazing, efficient and fast. A highlight for me was going to see the polar exploration superstar Fram at the museum. To be able to actually tour on board such an important relic of history was incredible. Make sure you check out the auxillary exhibitions as well including the 4D polar flight experience (included in your entry ticket). A ferry trip to and from the museum is a quick and relatively cheap way to get there. The Munsch Museum is also worth a visit if only for the views from the bar and restaurant (can visit these without a ticket). It is a very expensive city however in terms of food and drink so I was glad I had rented an apartment where we could cook our own meals. If travlling by taxi, be warned that tariffs at some times of the week can be exceptionally high. On our second visit our apartment was 15 minutes out of the city centre and what savings we made on accommodation due to the location were not enough to offset the exorbitant taxi fare.

I visited Oslo with my grown up daughter in early May.

I visited Oslo with my grown up daughter in early May. We loved it. The streets, the buildings and parks are so clean, and it didn't feel crowded for a city. Just walking around looking at things, is pleasurable. The architecture is interesting, and all around the harbour area, there is so much to see. Trams everywhere make it easy to get around, although there is plenty to see & do, just walking . Bikes and electric scooters are very popular too and easy to hire. We went on a sightseeing cruise, while we were there, stopping off at Bygdoy Island, where we walked to the open air folk museum, about 20 minutes. There was so much to see, we decided not to get the boat back, and spent an extra couple of hours there, then took the bus back. We visited two sculpture parks -Frogner park is amazing, more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron, in a beautiful setting. We walked onto the roof of the opera house - a fascinating building, ate at an Indian restaurant , and also ate Vietnamese street food from a van, parked at the harbour, as the weather was so good. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants all around the harbour, which are very popular. We visited an art gallery on the only rainy day & saw paintings by Munch, Dahl & other Norweigan painters. If you are a fan of Munch however, there is a whole building of his artwork, which you can't miss, as the architecture is so unusual. If you like to run or swim outdoors, there is plenty of that going on, particularly early in the morning. The swimming though, is more of a quick dip in the fiord, and there are lots of floating saunas and platforms to swim off, all around the harbour. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back!

The city center is very walkable and easy to get around. You don't get lost easily in Oslo. Despite being the capital it feels very calm, safe, and above all clean. Norwegians are also very nice and willing to help.

Nice building and comfortable rooms located just a few metro stops away from the city center. The self check-in process went very smoothly, and the staff members present on site were always friendly and helpful. Although the hotel could not cater any meals at the time, bakeries and bars and also present just across the street, which is a nice way to start and to end your day.

Very close to city center, clean and comfortable rooms, very tasty breakfast with many options! Hotel staff very polite. There is a tram stop right in front of the hotel which can take you anywhere very quickly. And whoever has visited the city before knows that trams in Oslo are really unbelievable as far as punctuality is concerned!
