We booked our stay as one of our first stops on a two week motorcycle trip, and I can't speak highly enough of Casa de Salcantay. Every now and then you book a random hotel when you're travelling and it turns out to be an absolute gem. The owners are in the exact right business. They were all smiles when we arrived and had four beers waiting for us, and prepared us one of the best lomo saltados we had the entire trip. Rooms were spacious and clean, and of course I cant say enough about the view. Lush mountains and 18000ft snow capped peaked in the background and a beautiful garden all around you at the property. We enjoyed it so much we booked it for a second night when looped back around to Cusco. When I return to Peru to visit Choquequirao and Machu Pichu, I will definitely be staying here again.

Decent stay for the Salkantay trek. Owner was friendly. This place isn't anything to write home about but if you are just looking for a place to rest for the night, it'll do. Free tea, hot water and breakfast provided. The room itself was clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't feel cold with the blankets they provided.
