We spent about a day and a half in Bydgoszcz — almost the entire day on Saturday and part of Sunday. This was enough time to visit the city’s main attractions and get a really good impression of Bydgoszcz.
We especially enjoyed the Water Tower, the Old Mills, and the viewing platform, which offers beautiful views of the city. Each of these places has its own unique character and gives you a chance to discover a different side of Bydgoszcz.
We were also particularly impressed by the unusual sculpture in the park, featuring balancing figures and symbolizing the Great Flood. It is a very original and memorable piece of art that definitely catches your attention.
Overall, Bydgoszcz left a very positive impression on us. We enjoyed its main sights, architecture, and unique atmosphere. It is a beautiful and interesting city that is definitely worth visiting, especially for a short getaway.

Bydgoszcz completely stole my heart! If you want to experience authentic Polish charm without the overwhelming tourist crowds, this city is an absolute paradise. The highlight of the trip was definitely Mill Island (Wyspa Młyńska)—a stunning, vibrant green oasis right in the heart of the city, surrounded by picturesque canals and beautifully restored historic granaries.
The architecture is breathtaking, blending romantic riverside vibes with grand, elegant boulevards. Walking around the Old Market Square at night is magical, with a fantastic energy and an amazing selection of trendy specialty cafes, top-tier restaurants, and craft beer bars. The city is spotlessly clean, incredibly safe, and very budget-friendly. Seeing the iconic "Man Crossing the River" sculpture suspended in the air was unforgettable. Bydgoszcz is an absolute 10/10 destination that everyone needs to visit!

Great city with a lot to offer, from shopping and city breaks to relaxing getaways. The city centre is full of restaurants, cafés, tea places and ice cream parlours, and there are plenty of lovely walks along the river.

Wyspa Mlynska (Mill Island) was revitalized relatively recently and offers great open spaces and picturesque walks along the canal and river. Old town makes an impression with a big city square and "brick gothic", and "new town" on the other side of the river delights with beautiful art nouveau buildings. It was easy to walk everywhere. I was sorry to miss out on a visit to Soap and Dirt Museum, as there were no tickets available on the day. Next time (and I am definitely coming back) I'll buy tickets in advance.

Bydgoszcz is an old Polish town often overlooked by travelers.
It has a beautiful old town on the river that was until recently quite busy with navigation. Some older buildings got back to 1500s.
The old town is the heart of the entertainment with a lot of restaurants and bars and street happenings.
Bydgoszcz grew a lot in the end of 1900s and there are beautiful buildings and ornaments in the art-nouveau style all over the city.

Very interesting city with lots of history and some very pretty areas (the walk along the old canal was lovely, including seeing red squirrels!). As with all of Poland, the buses and trains are accessible clean and cheap. Food, beer, and service at Karramba (on one corner of the old market square) were superb.
Toruń (a short train ride away) is very pretty

The property is amazing - beautiful interiors with everything you need from crockery, coffee machine, hair drier, fridge etc - all new and really clean. The hotel has perfect location close to all city attractions with beautiful views from the window and lovely terrace. Easy to check in and out - the staff is really helpful and goes an extra mile to accommodate all your needs. Highly recommended - will book again when Ill be visiting Bydgoszcz in the future. The apartment is about 10 minutes walk from the old town and city centre. The neighborhood is quite and calm, there is a convenient parking area nearby. The host is very responsive, helpful and friendly. The flat itself is cozy and it has everything what is needed for comfortable accommodation.

Delicious restaurant! Staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was separated from a corridor by additional door which keeps a room quiet. Dog-friendly place (we paid additionally 50 zł for 2 dogs). Good place to stay if you travel by car (big parking lot and 7min to the city center by car)
