Location is perfect, in the center of the Old Town. Very good breakfast. The room was not very big but was comfortable with additional sofa and place to sit. Bathroom size very much ok. Staff was very polite with exception of one person, I think he needs to repeat the customer service training. The hotel has very pleasant lobby, with a lot of places to sit and have coffee drink. It is also, very nicely decorated since the building used to be a cinema. Overall impression, our stay at this hotel was very satisfactory, and I would definitely stay again..

FAQs about hotels in Gdańsk

Charming Architecture And a Breath of History

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything from fascinating history and great architecture to a friendly atmosphere!

Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down Communist rule in Poland, initiating the end of the Cold War era.

Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the city's near-complete destruction during World War II. You can admire the colorful townhouses of the Old Town by boat on the Motlawa River or by strolling down the popular Long Street and Long Market.

While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St. Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!

Whether you reach Gdańsk by train or plane, Booking.com has a variety of accommodations near the Lech Walesa Airport, the picturesque Old Town or the general city center.

Beautifull city, with plenty of wonderful landmarks.

Beautifull city, with plenty of wonderful landmarks. Amazing history, you can still see remnants of rows of city houses destroyed in the World War 2 by the soviet and British carpet bombing. What a remarkable rebuilding effort by polish people. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes, lots of patisseries and caffes. Only a short train journey from Sopot and Gdynia.

Gdańsk is an absolutely wonderful city, full of history, beautiful architecture, unique atmosphere and great food. Three days were simply not enough to see everything, experience the city properly and taste everything it has to offer. We left with the feeling that there was still so much more to discover — a perfect reason to come back! 😄

Gdańsk is one of Poland’s most impressive cities, known for its maritime history, colourful architecture and remarkable resilience. During World War II, around 85–90% of its historic centre was destroyed. After the war, the city was carefully rebuilt, with streets, churches and merchant houses restored to reflect its original character. Today, walking through the Old Town, it is hard to believe that much of it once lay in ruins. Gdańsk is more than a beautiful destination, it is a powerful symbol of survival, reconstruction and pride.

Gdansk is a really nice traditional Polish city located in the north of the country. It has a got a real blend of old architecture that is complimented with some modern touches and buildings. The city itself looks to have good public transport. Certainly had no issues with using it. The main city centre is very walkable. The city also has a very nice aesthetic with the water flowing through the city in certain areas. It is not the most expensive place either. I'd be happy to say that it represented good value most of the time. The WW2 museum is a must to do.

You can spend here a week witout boring either you are interesting in historical old city our technical museums. There are a lot of restaurants with deliciuos food regional or italian, a lot of coffe hous and nice terraces sitting near the river looking for the amazing buildungs at the other side. You can take excursions to the sea at Sopot, to forest of Malbork, or to the lakes of Mazury to ride by bycicle or a rowing on. The transport is very good in the city and around it as well. There are a lot of good road for bycicles.

The hotel's truly excellent location was a major win; the short 5-minute stroll to the heart of Gdańsk's Old Town made sightseeing incredibly convenient. Beyond the location, the staff made the stay truly memorable. The team was super friendly and attentive, especially towards my dog - they made our four-legged family member feel just as welcome! The rooms themselves provided modern comfort, being spacious, spotlessly clean, and felt very up-to-date.
