Special thanks to the restaurant team (personally to Janek and Jacek) for the very diverse and tasty breakfast. Nice touch of local specialties and tasty bread on top of classical breakfast meals. In that aspect the Lodz Novotel definitely goes beyond the standard offering of Novotel chain.

Łódź is for some reason the worst rated city in Poland.
Łódź is for some reason the worst rated city in Poland. Since I arrived though I did not stop wondering for one moment why this is the case. It is a lovely city, calm, with many transportation options, cheaper than others while being just 1.5 hours away from the capital, with lush greenery and a lively city center. People are welcoming and polite, food is as good as anywhere in Poland and events are in abundance. In general we went to Łódź with low expectations and we ended up wanting to stay longer.

It is a modern yet beautiful city.
It is a modern yet beautiful city. Surprisingly wide roads and an extremely dense tram network. I really liked the long pedestrian street, it was full of life! Manufaktura was also fantastic with its red-brick buildings. The parks are very beautiful as well. It was great to walk around here. Overall, the city is much nicer than I expected! I highly recommend visiting it!

Łódź is full of interesting historical sites, great museums, beautiful architecture, extensive shopping (modern and traditional), excellent food, lovely churches, historical cemeteries, and many large parks. Piotrkowska Street, Manufactura, Rose Passage, Orientarium Zoo, Łagiewniki Forest with St. Anthony Chapel (built 17th century), and more. We have loved it here.

A wonderful Polish city that’s underrated.
A wonderful Polish city that’s underrated. We didn’t have enough time to visit all the museums. The small-scale architecture is truly impressive—a rarity these days, when even the Italians have lost their touch for sculpture. I highly recommend it.

An interesting city in Central Poland, with a great long pedestrian promenade in the downtown area, some attractive (and freshly repaired) historical buildings, very lively nightlife, and just with a few tourists around. Off Piotrkowska is a creative hub of bars, cafes, and restaurants, a heaven in the very center with great vibe

In my view, you have to be Polish to appreciate Lodz and / or be interested in the city's WW2 Jewish history : there are many memorials - Radegast Station. Museum of Independence Traditions in Łódź, Litzmannstadt Ghetto, Holocaust Survivors park, There are many wonderful churches and parks. Personally, I wasn't interested in Palaces.

I stayed in the Apartment because of the clinic next door but if I would just come to Lodz for other reasons I would choose an apartment with more central location. But taxi in Poland is not that expensive and there is tram 5 min walk from the apartment that goes to centrum. The owners were helpful and let me check in 2h before as I needed to rest after the procedere at the clinic. Positive thing for me was that I could just walk 1 min to the clinic.

My stay at the hotel left a truly positive impression. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortably spacious. The staff were kind and attentive – when I asked for a phone charger, they immediately offered one. Breakfast was not only abundant but also beautifully presented, with a wide variety of options: from fresh vegetable salads to delightful bite-sized treats, such as a canapé with shrimp. Overall, we were very satisfied with our visit.

We’ve stayed at Hotel Ambassador Chojny several times. The property itself is nice — spacious and comfortable, with good facilities. However, we’ve consistently felt that the staff could be more welcoming and friendly. Perhaps there’s a bit of a disconnect with foreign guests, which might explain the experience. Overall, it’s a decent and well-maintained hotel, but the service could definitely be warmer.

We were thinking about booking Hilton or Ambasador hotel but based on fact that there was a pool in Ambasador we booked it. Now after visiting the hotel I would book Hilton…
