A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
Warsaw gets better every time I visit. The number of pubs, restaurants, and cafes is amazing; I checked out the Museum of Modern Art, and it is a world-class experiene. The city is vibrant, safe, and beautiful.

Loads and loads to do.
Loads and loads to do. Walk the river, the Old Town, The new town. Up the tower, lots of museums. Go to the back street bars for bee £2 a pint. Good food options at the Old Ironworks and may other places, the Old Brewery. Google 'cheap beer near me' for the less tourist bars.
Have a drink on the left bank but beware that drinking in public off licenced premises is not really allowed.

Once we worked out the train tickets, they were great and cheap, a 24hr pass was about $6 AU,look for the red ticketing machines, and change the language.

Warsaw isn't a pretty city, apart from the Old Town, which is largely a postwar rebuild. That doesn't matter too much. London and Berlin aren't pretty either, but they have lots of interesting districts and museums. I didn't quite get the same feeling from Warsaw, but perhaps I wasn't looking in the right places. It's much busier than Krakow, but less charming.

I strongly recommend this hotel for accommodation in Warsaw! Everything clean, well equipped with anything you can need for a couple of days staying, very close to the old town city center and also well connected to the public transportation. This place is one of the best I ever stayed in my life quality/price ratio. Congratulations for the great work you are doing, guys! For sure, if I'll have the opportunity, I'll be back. Much appreciated. :-)
The location is very convenient for a one night stay when crossing Poland. Of course the location is not bad even if You want to visit the old town and wanna go there on foot. The next day before leaving we went of foot to visit Lazienki park.?
The room was very small, but it's that chain - if we wanted a bigger room we would have chosen Ibis Styles.
Breakfast was OK - there was to chose from and the coffee was really good.
This is a great hotel, location is fantastic, hence I stayed again without hesitation on my second visit to Warsaw. It's very central for walking access to main train station and old town and nearby to a number of shopping and eating precincts. Very comfortable rooms, staff very friendly and helpful, and budget friendly.
Excellent hotel. Fantastic location and breathtaking view from window. Exceptional service. Very clean and tidy. In fact this is the best hotel I ever stayed in Poland. In total I was six times in Warsaw and several other cities, but this is the only hotel I would recommend.
