We arrived by car to visit Achadas da Cruz. The owners, a kind couple, met us and showed where to park. Parking is narrow, but after driving in Madeira, it feels normal. The lady also explained how to access the cable car nearby, which was very helpful. The place is very aesthetic and cozy. We had a room and a downstairs hall with TV, coffee, tea, cutlery, and a beautiful sofa surrounded by plants and warm lighting. Narrow stairs lead to a private bathroom, well equipped with soap and a mirror. There’s also a small terrace with tables where you can enjoy an amazing sunrise. Everything was charming and comfortable. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are lovely and helpful, made us feel like home from the moment we’ve arrived and we even got to try tasty homemade treats baked by Andreina. The house was lovely and cosy, we could enjoy the view from the terrace every evening - beautiful sunsets! There is a nice bar just 5 minutes away, looks cool and they serve amazing burgers, perfect after a long hike. Nice wine and very reasonable prices! Also, you can walk from there for 10 minutes and enjoy a breathtaking view during a cable car ride (Achadas da Cruz cable car). It’s very close to Porto Moniz, place with natural swimming pools, perfect in the morning when there is not many tourists around. We visited a lot of places during our 13 days stay in Madeira and we enjoyed coming back to the house and relaxing every night .
